Nice hotel and away from the main shopping areas

Posted 29-Jul-2015
Pros: although this is an older building the rooms have redone to modernize.
Cons: the free breakfast was limited, WIFI in room was limited. the hall colour could be updated, seems to be in the 70's
Location: away from the main shopping areas, had two small malls nearby.
an older building and has some updating, the rooms were clean, free parking and the front desk was helpful. Had free WIFI in lobby and rooms.

Not a place I'd take my wife

Need to pay more attention to facility details and aesthetics inside and out.

This was my last resort....

Posted 20-Jul-2015
Pros: The room was clean and newly remodeled. The AC worked but not very well.
Cons: The conditions of the hotel. If there is a problem such as the leak the hotel should have shut down that lower level. The moldy smell was TERRIBLE!
Location: Federal Way has alot to do near by but getting in and out of this hotel is tricky due to all the lanes and bariers blocking travel.
Red Lion has always been one of my favorite hotels until I stayed at the Federal Way one. The lady checking me in wasn't friendly and had her friends standing around on the side talking to her. She wasn't very welcoming and said the very minumum. After I got the room key she told me its right down the stairs and pointed me in the right direction. When I went down the stairs there was water dripping from the ceiling and no rights around warning about the problem. The hallway smelled moldy and went. There was a door I had to walk passed that was wide open and the business mess was visible to all. The room itself wasn't bad but with the conditions of the hotel I dont know that I will ever trust Red Lion until it's my last and only option.

Terrible hotel

Posted 18-Jul-2015
Common areas not well kept, very dirty and worn. Rooms were recently renovated and ok. Bathroom sink didn't drain. Maintenance didn't fix it, so had to move to a different room. Some clientele seemed of the criminal type. Didn't feel safe while staying there. Would never stay there again.

Good for the price. Good location but a little hard to get inside the parking lot the first time because of the median.

Under construction

Posted 13-Jul-2015
Pros: The staff.
Cons: Room size, should probably close the floor, or areas of the floor, until construction is finished.
This was a Super 8 that has been taken over by Red Lion. Our room was very small, and there were quite a few rooms on our floor that were under construction. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Good location, but lacks attention to details

Posted 12-Jul-2015
Pros: Very good breakfast
Cons: The back door entrance/exit MUST be fixed immediately as it does not close properly. Guests are vulnerable at night to anyone off the street.
Location: Good location, yet has a lot of traffic noise.
Pro: Great breakfast Con: Hotel not secure at night for guests as the back door exit DID NOT close and lock behind guests entering or departing; rust in bottom on the tub in room 205; no bath math in tub to keep guests from slipping while showering; no second box on face tissues in room and the tissue box in the bathroom ran out of tissues; no plastic glasses in room for convenience; no clock in room.

Extreme value

Nothing to complain about-reasonably priced yet the room was like brand new and compared with much higher priced hotels. Beds were like new. Room A/C quickly cooled room despite local heat wave. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was good including waffle maker.
