Great hotel and close to the freeway

Great time at Embassy Suites. We were in townt for a surprise birthday party. Had the opportunity to eat breakfast and talk with other family members from out of town. The breakfast was delicious and free.

eventually satisfied

reserved thru expedia but hotel did not have any record of our reservation or hotel confirmation #. I had printed copies of expedia reservation plus the expedia confirmation # which the staff seemed confused about. After 40 minutes we were informed we should have reserved thru the hotel web site rather than expediter's site. When we checked out the staff could not provide a final bill total because we used expedia.None of these issues were major problems since the hotel was not sold out was surprising since there seemed to be a disconnect between the hotel and expedia.

Avoid this place

Posted 30-Mar-2015
Pros: The interior is ok with the green.
Cons: Everything.
Location: You need a car to go downtown, it's in the middle of nowhere.
This is not a great hotel. Overall, it's ugly and in a terrible location. The workout room is really bad with machines in rough condition. The rooms are alright but not sound proof at all. The TV's are old and are slow, plus you can't order any movies.

Nice hotel, used as a quick get-away with daughter

Posted 27-Feb-2015
Cons: Hotel beginning tp look older, could use some updating.
Location: Great location for a quick get-away. Location close to Destiny Mall
Although the pool was closed and I thought of cancelling the reservation, I'm very happy I didn't, had a great time, staff friendly, happy hour very nice, and great Breakfast.

I apologize for that experience. My team should have informed you of the authorization for incidentals and that it would drop off in 3-5 business days.

The hot tub wasn't hot!

Posted 01-Feb-2015
Pros: We loved the breakfast, the Happy Hour, and the comfy pillows, the large tv's, counter with sink and mini fridge and microwave. Starbucks coffee!
Cons: Have coffee in the lobby. With cookies:) Crank the heat on the hot tub.
Location: Close to Destiny U.S.A., the Carrier Dome, and the Rosamond Gifford Zoo. It is very easy to find.
This hotel is beautiful. The five story atrium features a Koi pond, and is serene and beautiful. There are glass elevators. But, if you have any handicaps, it may be difficult to get around, as there are small sets of steps throughout the atrium level. The good stuff: Happy hour from 5:30-7:30! Free drinks! Drawback: The snacks were simply a large basket of potato chips, some pretzels, and tortilla chips and salsa. The Embassy Suites we visited in Va. had veggies and hummus, as well as fresh fruit. Breakfast is always good though. Made to order omelets, sausage and bacon, as well as fresh fruit, bagels, pastries, and Starbucks coffee. I would appreciate if the coffee was out all the time, like at some hotels. The staff here are wonderful and friendly. Our only complaint was about the hot tub. We were so completely looking forward to it, and it was just bathwater warm. The pool is chilly, but it is always that way.

Unique, but has issues

Posted 19-Jan-2015
Pros: Food, drinks, decor
Cons: An expanded seating area, requiring children to remain with parents.
Let me start with the parts that I loved: -The rooms are great, clean, quiet, and pretty luxurious. -The reception (free drinks and snacks every night) is great! -The decor of the hotel itself is beautiful and very unique. -The free breakfast has variety and is very delicious. -The hotel restaurant is reasonably priced and open late. The 'issues' I had with the hotel: -There were vast numbers of unsupervised kids, everywhere. I have stayed at this hotel numerous times, and this is an ongoing issue I've noticed. They were around 7 to 12 years old and belonged to sports teams (dance, hockey, etc.) They were riding the elevators up and down (for fun, not to get from point A to point B). They were playing tag in public areas. They were loud and obnoxious. -The breakfast tastes very good, but the hotel has inadequate seating for the number of people. My wife and I had to eat standing up (very annoying as you can imagine). -The last two times I've stayed here, the thermostat in my room hasn't worked. We didn't notice until around 2am when we woke up sweating with the room temperature about 78 degrees.

I appreciate your feedback, without which we wouldn't be able to grow. Sports team weekends create a challenge for those guests looking to get away and relax. We do provide security at night to help but rely more on parents keeping the control as security can't be everywhere. Maintenance will be going through each room and checking the thermostats so that your next visit will be nice and comfortable.
