Whilst we stayed only for a brief visit prior to setting off to catch the express to Paris it proved to be a real haven which was extremely comfortable with exceptional service and good food. As a Londoner by birth it was interesting to see the local environment as distinct from the likes of the West End.

I have stayed at the Judd hotel on several occasions. I have always found it clean and quiet. The staff I have met have always been polite. They spoke good English and have treated me with respect. I have been comfortable when I have stayed there.
There was one occasion, when noisy latecomers woke me up, but that is hardly the fault of the hotel staff.
I would certainly stay there again and indeed am thinking of doing so next week when I am in London.
I was quite surprised to read some of the reviews when I last looked at the hotel website after staying there last week.
My only other comment is that it would have been helpful to have an earlier breakfast start at 07.00 am to enable me to leave London before the traffic gets too bad.
I will certainly stay there again.
First, the bad:
-The room was small
-Lots of stairs
-The plug sockets were in a bit of an inconvenient location
-The toilet didn't have much sound-proofing which is uncomfortable if you're staying with a partner (and either of you are prudish)...
I've tried to be fair and even here, but it was quite difficult to come up with that list. The truth is, our stay was overwhelmingly positive. The only ones of those that really caused us any irritation were the toilet (because I'm a prude with IBS), and the plug socket location, because I wanted to use the laptop in bed - a problem which could easily be solved by putting in an extension lead. The room was small, but it's London (so to be expected), and it was so well laid out and equipped that this really didn't cause any problem, and was actually nice and cosy.
Now, for the positives. The staff were really pleasant and welcoming - from the staff on the desk who were always smiling and seemed genuinely interested in our day, to the staff serving breakfast downstairs. Breakfast, for those who are interested, is served in the basement, and there's a table with the usual cereal, milk, fruit, etc on, but if you want something cooked like a cooked breakfast or toast then the staff cook it for you on the spot - which is a very efficient and nice way of doing things (unlike the wasteful normal way of simply having plates with it on, which often results in flies or the food being cold).
