“Stay elsewhere!”

We arrived to this hotel after a long drive. We were greeted by rude service at reception. They were being very nice to the couple in front and then when it got to our turn for no reason at all we were treated like children and very rudely. The toilet then blocked after 1 use and when we tried to report the issue the phone didn't work. When my fiancé went to report the issue, the manager came with him back to the room and started telling us not to use toilet paper! He then went on to day that we shouldn't put plastic or hand towels down the toilet! What did he think we have been doing?!?!?! He then asked my fiance to go back with him and he'd give him a plunger!! He refused and we asked the manager to do it! As we'd done nothing wrong!!! He then left us the plunger, despite assuring us it wouldn't happen again and never had before! There are loads of other options to stay in Springdale, choose one of those if you can!

Area recommendations
It is a lovely town, so worth staying here if you are going in and out the park, there is a free shuttle bus that runs regularly with plenty of stops through the town. Loads of lovely places to eat, lots of fab galleries and gift shops. We went to the Spotted Dog, Pioneer Lodge and Wildcat Willies! All great!

“check-in forever”

Nice location, nice hotel, but it took us 40 minutes to check-in, without a word of explanation or apology from staff who was apparently dealing with computer problems

“Not a good place to stay”

The place was pretty bad. The manager was rude, the room was not clean and there were constant sounds throughout the night. There was a pool, but it was disgusting, kind of like the pool from the camping scene in the movie Vacation. The walls were thin and the "breakfast" the next day was horrible. I would not stay there again.

“Zion Park lodging”

Terrace Brook Lodge was in an excellent location right in the center of Sprindale. It was walking distance to restaurants and shops and was quiet and clean. Its a little bit older of a hotel, but served the purpose. The view from our front door was absolutely amazing. the staff was friendly and there were no issues with anything in the room. The AC/Heating unit appeared to be brand new.

Area recommendations
Springdale, Utah is an amazing little village and I can't believe that there is any place in that town that is not an exceptional place to stay. There is no bad neighborhoods. Its a small tourist town with shops and restaurants located within walking distance to the entrance of Zion National Park
When to go
I would suggest Spring or Fall as Zion has only one road that runs up through the middle and the trails can get crowded with tourists, especially considering they get over 2 million visitors a year. We went in late October and the weather was fantastic, a little chilly at night but not bad. The trails still had significant amounts of people which made me wonder how crowded it must get in the summer since the trails are narrow and you are always moving to one side or the other when passing people.
Dining
The Bit & Spur was recommended by a few local shop owners we asked and it did not disappoint. The food was fantastic and the staff was great. I returned later to the bar and ended up having a great time with the bartender and her friend.

“Terrace”

I was a bit concerned about staying here after reading some negative reviews. It is a 60's motor lodge with a 90's paint job and 80's furniture. But it was clean. If you need a room for the night it is a good place to stay. Don't be afraid.

“Very good hotel for price, location and character of hotel staff”

This is an older hotel that was well-maintained and staffed. It was convenient and within walking distance of everything from restaurants to the post office. Compared to the price of every other retail location (stores, restaurants, gift shops, etc.) in town, this was a very affordable bargain.

Area recommendations
There is only 1 area which is the downtown area, in this city. It is close by Zion National Park and the shuttle service is unbeatable for visiting the park.

“Not impressed!”

The beds were kind of old and only two flat old pillows were given per double bed. The water from the shower accumulated in the tub and won't go down right away. There was no hairdryer. Breakfast was not good at all. There was cheap kind of bread with cheap kind of butter and jelly and cheap kind of coffee creamer. It was probably better not to have served breakfast at all. It seemed like the owner was being thrifty in everything.

“Pay for convenience not comfort”

This hotel is perfectly situated for quick access to Zion National Park and all that Springdale has to offer. You pay for this convenience. The hotel itself was nothing special and a bit run down. It was comfortable enough and was cool when returning from long hikes out in the heat. If you're looking for a place to stay close to Zion this is a great hotel. Just plan on spending most of your time in the park, not the hotel.

Area recommendations
Zion National Park is beautiful and amazing.
Getting there
If driving into Zion the hotel is on the left-hand side of the road. If leaving Zion, it is on the right-hand side of the road.

“Not cool”

We went to hike at Zion National Park, and really just needed a place to lay our heads at night. After hiking in 110 degree temperatures we were ready for a cool place to sleep, only the window ac unit didn't work. They had the window to the room open and the ac unit was blowing outside air temps (100 + degrees). It was very difficult to get a good nights rest. We won't be staying here again.

“Okay for so close to Zion”

This hotel was just okay. Pool was closed, breakfast was lame. The best part was the close proximity to Zion, which made getting there early so super easy. So if you just want to be close to Zion then this will do, but if you are after amenities look elsewhere.

Area recommendations
For visiting Zion and wanting to be close to it Springdale is the place to be.
