It is nice that it is only a 30/40 minutes drive from Victoria airport. Sooke is a little town with nice stores were you find art from local artists. We drove to Port Renfrew and explored the beaches and discoverd great little restaurants. It was great to watch the sunset and wake up with ocean sound!

We stayed one night in a 3 bedroom / 3 bath 2 levels unit . It was perfect for me and my husband and my 2 daughters who brought their friends along.
The unit was well maintained and relatively new. The only thing is you can hear from downstairs when you flush the toilet in the upstairs bathroom.
Bed is very comfortable, but they should use less downy on the sheets.

This is one of the nicest places that I've ever stayed at. (And I've stayed at a few over the years)
It didn't start too well as we travelled to Vancouver Island from Vancouver on a Friday afternoon and it was the third ferry before there was space for us to get on (Five and a half hour wait)
We therefore missed the 4 to 6pm check in and due to issues with our UK mobile phone were unable to contact the owner to advise them we were running late and eventually arrived at 9:30pm.
Nothing was too much bother for the owner who was away for the evening and they left our key out for us with instructions to register the next morning.
The facilities, location and views from this property make it an ideal place to relax and unwind.
The finishes were top class and the barbque and hot tub made for an even more relaxing stay.
Also ideal for watching wildlife. We saw deer, raccoons and squirrels in the garden, birds of prey in the trees nearby and overhead and seals in the bay and whales about half a mile off shore.
If we're back in the area I'd have no hesitation in staying at this property.
Everything about our stay was wonderful. It's an hour from Victoria, so it's perfect if you want comfort and quiet away from the city but not too isolated. The B&B is beautifully maintained, with lovely public spaces including seating for a marvelous view of the Juan de Fuca Strait. Stairs lead down through the forest to a beach populated by gulls, geese and seals (weird black slugs on the stairs look like living licorice, not gross, cool!). The breakfast was huge and delicious, and Lori and Andy are gracious and attentive hosts. The wifi worked, which was great because I didn't have phone reception. Lori gave good recommendations for dinner at Point No Point. Highly recommended!

Hard to find that perfect place for your dog, but we found it. Our dog was made to feel welcome by the staff from the moment we walked through the door and even in the room with a bed and a bowl. The area around the hotel is doggy heaven.
Yet even dog heaven aside, we enjoyed the beautiful room, perfect location and good breakfast at the west coast grill.

The setting is amazing looking out onto the bay/harbor from every room/cottage. The bed was extraordinary in its softness and the quality of the coverings. The host was very friendly and helpful. When we had to leave early the next morning she delivered the night before a tray of smoked salmon and fruit and bagels for us to have early in the am. We are looking forward to visiting again in the summer.
Enjoyed my first and second visit to this lovely retreat. Amazing views, gorgeous rooms, incredible breakfast and yummy treats, and wonderful hosts. Great access to the wild south coast of Vancouver Island. Thank you!!

Sooke is comprised of East Sooke and the District of Sooke, two communities that straddle the Sooke Basin. Part of a temperate rainforest, Sooke has a wealth of parks, such as Sooke Potholes Regional Park and Juan de Fuca Regional Park. For centuries, Sooke was a settlement of the Coast Salish Indians. Europeans arrived in the mid-1800s to pursue logging and fishing, still thriving industries.
