“Inviting nane and place”

I think this establishment may be older, but is, nonetheless, comfortable and pretty. Everthing is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. I rested well, enjoyed the breakfast and will stay there again.

“An excellent value”

The desk staffers were very helpful and the room was spotless. The location is very convenient to the Interstate and there are numerous restaurants within walking distance. Don't expect a large, hot, greasy free breakfast, but there are plenty of healthy choices with which to start the day.

“Better than average for "penny pinchers"”

Excellent location and walking distance to 24 hour gas station/food mart, star bucks and several fast food places. Many more restaurants and shopping (24 hour wal-mart) is nearby as well. I'd stay again. PearTree is owned by Drury Suites but don't expect Drury quality. It is really a great place for the money. The night before we stayed at a Ramada in O'fallon Illinois that cost more money and this Pear Tree is way better.

“Pear Tree Inn - Cape Girardeau”

The Pear Tree Inn (a spinoff of Double Tree) was literally a hidden gem, located across the street from the pricier hotels. There are some cheaper, low end motels closer to the downtown area, but I can't recommend staying at any of them. The Pear Tree Inn is convenient to ALL the restaurants, churches and shopping. It is located within a 10 minute drive of Southeast MO University. Fresh, free pop-corn was available every afternoon. The rooms were kept very neat and clean. With free WIFI available, we didnt watch very much TV. A large, continental breakfast with a variety of juices and coffee was welcome every morning. The helpful brochures in the lobby directed us to nearby attractions. I highly recommend the Cape Girardeau Nature Center! Also, if tourists go downtown to see the Missouri Walk of Fame at the edge of the Mississippi River, please stop in and have lunch or dinner at Port Cape Girardeau Restaurant. The food was amazing! They have an old fashioned ice-cream bar, but if you are eating lunch or dinner, the ice-cream will be served at your table. We were very comfortable at the Pear Tree Inn and are very happy that we chose not to stay at a higher priced hotel because the service wouldnt have been any better. After all, why pay more for a conference room or gym we have no intention of using?

“Nice room”

The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The only problems that I had was that the air conditioner didn't seem to work very well, but it wasn't that bothersome.

“Great for convenience”

We stayed here for one night in order to attend a wedding. We were looking for a basic, inexpensive hotel, and the Pear Tree Inn was just that. It was clean, the staff were very friendly, it was easy to find, and it was comfortable. We had no complaints and would definately recommend this place to friends!
