“Montalcino Getaway”

This was a perfect and affordable place for my son and me to use as a base of operations for our Tuscany wine tour. Minutes from Montalcino and its great Brunello tasting opportunities. Beautiful swiming pool overlooking the property's vinyards (which produce one of the better Brunellos). Clay tennis court. Nice Tuscan breakfast.

Traveller's tip
Call ahead if you plan to arrive late; office closes by 8 pm. Staff friendly and accommodating but non-English-speaking.

“Good Value”

Good value. simple country style furnishings and basic cooking gear. studio accomodations convenient to save on eating out. great pool to cool off in summer. convenient location in pretty countryside. Suspect it would be cold in winter. "service" means continental breakfast in the morning. supposedly have someone on-site for check in until 9PM. Owners speak italian only but son is fluent in English. No maid or laundry service is included. May want to buy some cheap towels in town to have a few more since not changed out.

Coop (supermarket) provide all basic groceries, easier to locate in Buonconvento than in Montalcino but both well stocked

“Immerso nella tranquillita' delle colline senesi”

Abbiamo trascorso un bellissimo e rilassante week end nell' agriturismo Brizio. Siamo stati molto bene forse un consiglio che posso dare è di non prenotare la prima colazione che non merita per quantità e varietà il costo aggiuntivo. Per il resto le camere sono molto ampie e confortevoli (io ho soggiornato sulla torre dove si trova un vero e proprio appartamento). Insomma l'ideale per chi vuole trascorrere dei giorni nella pace delle bellissime colline senesi (ottima la cantina)

“Résidence Brizio, Montalcino ITALIE”

Accueil chaleureux et sympathique, cadre charmant et reposant. Aucun problème pour y aller avec des enfants en bas âge, le calme est au rendez vous. De belle balades à faire et Montalcino et un trés beau village.

Area recommendations
Tout est à voir en Toscane, région magnifique. Prévoir de marcher pour visiter les villes btelles que Sienne et Florence car voitures interdites en centre ville.

“fazit”

Das 'Hotel', das keins ist, liegt zugegeben traumhaft eingebettet in einen Weinberg, ca. 6km von Montalcino entfernt, und wiederum 1km entfernt von der nächsten Strasse. Es ist eher eine Residenz mit Ferienwohnungen als ein Hotel-keine Rezeption, kein Frühstücksraum. Als wir dort ankamen war kein Mensch da. Nach der Schlüsselübergabe verschwand der Verwalter wieder. Möglicherweise ist dieses Hotel in der Hauptaison gut besucht und nur dann ist es zu empfehlen, nicht in der Nebensaison. Es ist schlichtweg beängstigend einsam. Wir waren froh, dass wir nur eine Nacht gebucht haben.
