We arrived earlier than check in and we had no problem getting into our room early. All of the staff was very
friendly, our room was clean and very satisfactory. We enjoyed our continental breakfast each morning. It
was not real elaborate but was satisfactory. I wished they could have had some fruit.
We chose this hotel based on positive on-line reviews and were not disappointed. Everything very clean and well-maintained. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful with lots of choices. The fresh hot oatmeal was a nice touch and a welcome change from the usual packets of instant. Exercise room had limited equipment but no one else seemed to use it while we were there so that wasn't a problem. We didn't use the indoor pool but it looked as nice as the rest of the hotel The location was also a plus - close to all the action but just enough out of town to be away from all the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. Hotel is located on the main road into town, providing a good view of all the buggy traffic. It's fun to hear the clip-clop of horses' hooves going by. Will definitely chose the Van Buren on our next visit to this area.
