Travel Hotel too close to Main busy Road

Posted 06-Sep-2014
Pros: Breakfast and the friendly service in the Diner
Cons: Air conditioning required
Room OK but no air conditioning much needed to close window and cut out the incessant loud noise from the A224. Supplies done on the cheap,! e.g.. no teaspoons, Shampoo in sachets where there is no shelf in shower to carry any soaps etc. Bathroom far too small, I was unable to shave in a tiny squashed in washbasin with insufficient light and showering was painful in a shower area 2x 2 ft. and a door with a gap of only 18 inches! One thing about the shower, you could not fall down in it! Water supply was soft, hot and plentiful. Breakfast in the American style Diner was very good and served at table by friendly helpful girls.

Short but sweet stay at 7 Hotel

Posted 02-Sep-2014
What a great find this hotel is, a bargain at 40 pound a night and perfect for a short stay. Very clean, modern and comfortable. There was a wedding on the night I stayed so it wouldve been nice to be pre-warned about this because you could hear the music downstairs at night from the room. Nothing that earplugs couldnt solve though.

Pros: the diner restaurant
Cons: just the wifi disaster!
Location: close to sevenoakes only an hour from central london
stayed here whilst visiting my brother in sevenoakes and going to see eminem in wembly, great hotel friendly staff only minus no internet for two days whilst we were there which meant i couldn,t do any work or contact collegues! not sooo good and no move to compensateus for this, note to staff;if its in the brochure, advertising free wifi should be upheld and available otherwise customers should be compensated for lack of this service, lets face it i would,nt of booked it if it didn,t have it in the first place!!!

Good overnight stay

Posted 06-Jul-2014
Despite the unusual pink facade of the building the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff on arrival was excellent . My room was clean fresh and bright. Bed very comfortable and i slept soundly even though my window looked out onto the busy road.i would definitely recommend .

Fine for a short stay - Friendly staff

Posted 17-Jun-2014
Pros: Clean room Diner decor Friendly staff
Cons: Air conditioning in rooms. Service in the diner.
I stayed with my girlfriend for the night as we had a party in Otford. Our room was a bit on the small side but was very clean and had a nice en suite. If you visit in the summer make sure you ask for a fan as there is no AC in the room. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. We were initially very impressed with the 50's themed diner but that changed after breakfast. It took 45 minutes for our food to arrive (an omelette and scrambled egg on toast!) and the food was average and very greasy. It also became apparent that this was clearly a favourite destination for kids parties/family meals as there were kids everywhere. In conclusion this hotel is fine for a quick stay, but not ideal for a couple wanting to having a relaxing weekend break. Even though the 50's diner decor is impressive the food is less so.

Smallest room ever!

Posted 07-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
I arrived late so could not sample the "to die for" food, but I had breakfast and that was fine. I was in a single room, which was very, very small, but clean and nicely decorated. The single bed was comfortable. The only other negative was the tv, where the remote only worked only if pointed at an odd angle 2" from the screen, although due to the room size you could almost do this without getting up.

Close to good transport links

I've stayed here before and rated it highly. This time we were in a 3 bed room and there were a few problems. The room and bathroom were spacious and the d├ęcor and bed linen generally good. The window looked out onto a very ugly small industrial estate. This should have been screened by a net curtain. The window blind was very faded at the bottom and there was a stain on the stool. The worst thing was from 10 pm there was a very loud external noise caused by a fan or motor of some sort which made sleeping difficult. The noise was there when I woke at 7am and did not stop for the next 2 hours. It really was so loud it was quite disruptive and spoiled our stay. I will think twice about staying again. I put this information on the feedback form in the room.
