Posted 14-Jul-2014
Pros: the diner restaurant
Cons: just the wifi disaster!
Location: close to sevenoakes only an hour from central london
stayed here whilst visiting my brother in sevenoakes and going to see eminem in wembly, great hotel friendly staff only minus no internet for two days whilst we were there which meant i couldn,t do any work or contact collegues! not sooo good and no move to compensateus for this, note to staff;if its in the brochure, advertising free wifi should be upheld and available otherwise customers should be compensated for lack of this service, lets face it i would,nt of booked it if it didn,t have it in the first place!!!

Good overnight stay

Posted 06-Jul-2014
Despite the unusual pink facade of the building the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff on arrival was excellent . My room was clean fresh and bright. Bed very comfortable and i slept soundly even though my window looked out onto the busy road.i would definitely recommend .

Fine for a short stay - Friendly staff

Posted 17-Jun-2014
Pros: Clean room Diner decor Friendly staff
Cons: Air conditioning in rooms. Service in the diner.
I stayed with my girlfriend for the night as we had a party in Otford. Our room was a bit on the small side but was very clean and had a nice en suite. If you visit in the summer make sure you ask for a fan as there is no AC in the room. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. We were initially very impressed with the 50's themed diner but that changed after breakfast. It took 45 minutes for our food to arrive (an omelette and scrambled egg on toast!) and the food was average and very greasy. It also became apparent that this was clearly a favourite destination for kids parties/family meals as there were kids everywhere. In conclusion this hotel is fine for a quick stay, but not ideal for a couple wanting to having a relaxing weekend break. Even though the 50's diner decor is impressive the food is less so.

Close to good transport links

I've stayed here before and rated it highly. This time we were in a 3 bed room and there were a few problems. The room and bathroom were spacious and the décor and bed linen generally good. The window looked out onto a very ugly small industrial estate. This should have been screened by a net curtain. The window blind was very faded at the bottom and there was a stain on the stool. The worst thing was from 10 pm there was a very loud external noise caused by a fan or motor of some sort which made sleeping difficult. The noise was there when I woke at 7am and did not stop for the next 2 hours. It really was so loud it was quite disruptive and spoiled our stay. I will think twice about staying again. I put this information on the feedback form in the room.

Great Location.....

Posted 14-Apr-2014
Pros: Value for money with the American Diner experience
Cons: Room Temperature controls...
Location: Reason of stay was to visit Hever Castle and other historic sites around Sevenoaks and the county
Check in was very quick and friendly hotel staff....the room was very clean and very good value for the money. Having the American Diner experience attached to the hotel was very good and very enjoyable... Only one critique is that the room itself was very warm with no temperature controls and only a fan, so it did become very stuffy and uncomfortable....did open the window but being on the road side of the hotel made it very noisy... However, I would definately stay there again, if I take a trip down into Kent.

Great value hotel

Posted 19-Mar-2014
Pros: The attached diner.
Cons: Would be good if snacks and bar were available after 10pm.
We stayed in Family Room 216 which had a double and a single bed in it. Clean and comfortable. The only downsides were traffic noise from the busy main road that our bedroom faced and the fact that we arrived late and had nowhere to get a drink or snack (the 50's style diner that is part of the hotel stops serving at 10pm). But in terms of value for money this was the bees knees. £29.95 for the room. Breakfast at the diner is recommended. We had the full English with unlimited coffee. Just great. Recommended.

Great little hotel at great rates......

Posted 18-Feb-2014
Pros: Convenient location
Cons: The 'drain' smell in bathroom 412 and if I am being picky - 50's style retro girls with great hair and make-up in the diner!
Location: Convenient location as on a main road and easy to find-close to Sevenoaks, Orpington & Bromley town centres if you wish to do a bit of shopping!
Last minute Valentine booking which purely attracted us because of the 50's diner. Upon arrival we found that our reservation (which was originally booked through Expedia)-didn't appear to be on their records as Expedia hadn't notified the hotel! This came as a bit of a blow especially when the receptionist said that there was only one room left which was a twin....as a couple in a relationship this was not god news, although the receptionist was very accommodating and was happy to make some necessary arrangements with a another late booker and thankfully we managed to get a double room. Although small (no 412) it was very clean and suitable for one night-there was just one snag as we walked into the bathroom it had a very bad 'drain' smell which wasn't very pleasing but as the place was so clean we figured it wasn't their fault so I just sprayed lots of perfume around and reported it to the reception desk for their information. We visited the American diner for both dinner and breakfast the next morning and was both satisfied with the food and the great atmosphere of the diner. All in all I would say-the ambience of the diner and the hotel reception staff in particular made our stay quite enjoyable. I would go back again and would recommend to groups of friends, families or even business travellers.

A great find

Everything I needed to make the stay comfortable, nonosense clean room which was warm and well lit. The food was 'different' with the American twist and a great breakfast menu.
