Extraordinary staff, lovely spot

I stayed in two rooms: one in the main hotel for my first two nights (room 320), and one off the courtyard for the third (room 134). The main building gets amazing morning light, so I woke up fresh and happy both mornings. The room was clean and sparingly furnished, which suited me fine, and the bed was comfortable with the extra blanket they provided. Housekeeping did an especially good job: they didn't touch any of my stuff with the sole exception of cleaning my hairbrush, which I had left in the shower, and they remade the bed. The front desk people were awesome about answering my questions about nearby fun and useful sites. I ended up booking the third night after checking out, so I ended up in a different room which was even bigger, though not as bright in the morning and a little chilly due to being in the shade. This might be extra nice in summer, but in April it was a little too cool. Still, the extra blanket was plenty, and knowing I didn't have downstairs neighbors meant I felt comfortable doing some plyometrics in the morning. The wifi was fast and easy to access, and the table was perfect for my morning conference call. This hotel knocked the *socks* off the other place that I almost stayed at the same price point--that place was practically uninhabitable, but Good Hotel was very good! I'll come back, and next time you can bet I'll take advantage of the bicycles they lend to guests for free!

noisy hotel

Make sure you ask them to assign you the room not next to the street! Too noisy and can't let you sleep. Convenient location, 5 minus to the BART station

Decent hotel for the the price paid. Quick and nice staff. Only complaint is that the beds are not very comfortable but I would stay here again.

Not in a good part of the city Pictures are NOT indicative of what you get. Hotel rooms are old and in need of upgrading.

Convenient location, nice room

Nice clean room located a short walk from Market St. Parking on the premises was tight, but they had valet parking next door. Staff was courteous and helpful.

The photos are deceiving to say the least. Parking extra extremely tight.

No good

Posted 26-Jan-2015
Pros: nothing
Cons: location. The whole first floor of the building was boarded up with graffiti on the windows.
The hotel was in a bad part of town and only had twin beds. I ended up going to a different hotel to stay in. Makes me question the whole Expedia rating system.

The room was sooooo hot! Even with windows open.

Room was an oven even in January in SF and the overhead fan is set to turn off automatically during the night. Very pricey room to be sweating in the winter.
