Good deal

Surprised by how nice this hotel turned out to be. Modern decor, bright colors. Room carpet was damaged but this did not affect our comfort one bit. Car parking in the hotel is $30 per night extra.

Very Good Hotel

Posted 25-Aug-2014
I enjoyed my two week stay at the Good Hotel. Room was great, clean, comfortable, quirky. Staff were friendly & helpful, someone was available at the front desk 24hrs. Location is good, near town, main San Francisco tourist attractions. There are a couple of other hotels on 7th street, there are also a couple of café's/diners & a small shop for convenience. Near public transportation (Bart/Muni) although I personally didn't use it much as I enjoyed walking around the city, which I now love.

OK-hotel for low budget

Posted 22-Aug-2014
The outside was under construction when I lived there. The license of the elevator was out of date. The inside seems not quite new. The neighbourhood had some homeless people so you could smell some urine. The staff of the hotel was nice, helpful, and efficient. Has wifi. No air conditioning, but fans on lights. The room was treated with some kind of spice or fragrance. Price was lower, compared to big hotels.

Affordable Hotel in the downtown area

Posted 21-Aug-2014
Pros: Location is great. Walking distance from downtown and Bart station. Logically you will find decent dining places nearby. The rooms are very clean.
Cons: You have to use the pool and the gym in the hotel across the street. The front desk staff are mostly helpful but could be slow in getting things done.
Location: Apart from the fact that you could walk to union square, there is a great Irish pub and a hookah bar one block away.
I needed to stay near Moscone for a week. This hotel was three blocks away. I picked this hotel as it looked like the best rated in the price range I could afford and I was not disappointed. It is just a good hotel.

Only advantage is being in downtown

Posted 19-Aug-2014
My hotel stay was not comfortable. The room is very small and there was barely any space around. WiFi doesn't work properly. Climate control was terrible. And, no hot water in the faucet in bathroom. complained many times, they said they will get back to me, but there was no response

Unique in its own special way!

Posted 13-Aug-2014
Pros: Comfy beds. Simple style and decor. No heavy draperies, bedspreads and dust collectors!
Cons: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and liquid soap all in dispensers. Body lotion would have been nice. A mini fridge would have been appreciated.
Location: Close to every type of transportation. Walking distance to many points of interest in the city.
Two night stay was fine at this hotel. We had heard about the hotel and was curious for ourselves. Restaurants and coffee shops all within a few blocks.

Pros: Eclectic
Cons: Faster wifi, more pillows, extra blankets. Staff could be more knowledgeable about places to eat instead of only recommending partner burger place.
Location: The area does have a lot of indigents but after spending 5 nights in SF, they are everywhere. Convenient to Fisherman's wharf which is where I went.
Overall I would recommend but it does depend on your needs. I was traveling for work and it wasn't perfect for that. There was really no table or desk to put a laptop on and the wifi was terribly slow. The room was clean but a bit chintzy with the pillows and blankets for my tastes - probably just right for most. Parking was difficult as it is a very small lot but they do partner with the hotel across the street so I could park there for no extra charge. Parking price was high but I accepted this though since this the room rate was much less than other places in the area. Liked that they had wall-mounted container for shampoo/conditioner/etc instead of tiny bottles. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and served my purpose of having a place to sleep.

Close enough to Moscone and affordable

Posted 29-Jun-2014
Pros: Convenient location and room.
Cons: WIFI speed and signal strength.
I liked the hotel but found the WIFI to be a trickle. Neighbourhood is a bit sketchy too. Very close to BART station which makes the trip from SFO very straightforward.
