“Perfect location with wonderful staff”

Staff were so extremely helpful and friendly in this characterful hotel in a central location perfect for a family visit in February. We could walk everywhere: Pantheon a few yards away of course, but also walked to Roman sites, St Peter's/Vatican, Trevi, Spanish Steps etc, even spotted some politicos outside Parliament! From room we could see bells of church opposite chiming. Hotel in a very quiet location - a nice surprise given previous impressions formed of Rome's traffic. We walked from Termini station on a sunny Sunday and found the hotel pretty easily. The location on Google Maps is spot on. Look for wooden double door with panel of buzzers past the Barberi outfitters to left of the Hotel Minerva. It's on upper floors but there is a lift. We stayed in Room 124 and 122 over a 3 night stay. If you want a lazy, relaxed morning then maybe 124 isn't for you as it's right under the breakfast room but was ideal for four of us - a light spacious room with windows in both bedroom and bathroom and we made early starts anyway so not troubled by upstairs noise. 122 a bigger room with beautiful ceiling, not under the breakfast room but an enclosed bathroom (although with a better shower!) as possible downside to some? Both rooms atmospheric with charming period furniture. Standard continental breakfast choice was fine - giant prunes were amazing! Staff were all charming, smiling, friendly, gave good advice on nearby restaurants etc. Many thanks to all at the Pantheon Inn.

“Great hotel in Rome!”

I visited Rome with my mother in mid-November and had a great time! The Pantheon Inn was a great hotel with a very helpful staff.. The location was very convenient for all our sight-seeing ventures in Rome. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

“Gem”

This is a little gem of a hotel in a perfect location. Do not let the "hidden" entrance put you off. It is a scruffy green garage door on the street. You must buzz the front desk from the buzzer to the left of the door. Once you enter the courtyard, the steps to the hotel are to the left. Up a couple of steps is a tiny elevator on the right. The hotel can arrange a taxi to the airport for 25 euros.

“Hidden gem - great location, great staff, will definitely return!”

The only negative aspect of the hotel was that it is hard to find, so a taxi or airport transfer would be strongly advised. The hotel is tucked away in an apartment building that is very charming and typically Italian. The staff were very helpful providing maps and advice about local restaurants. On our first night the hotel gave us a business card for a restaurant where we were then served a free bottle of wine. The staff also advised us (very rightly!) that a taxi to the airport would be both cheaper and easier for our return home, they accurately told us how much it would cost and booked it for us. There were no hidden costs (we were made aware about the small tax on hotels in Rome early on). The best thing about the hotel was the location. About a minute's walk from the Pantheon and very central to the rest of Rome - we walked to Trevi fountain, piazza navona and the archaeological sites with ease. For the vatican and other further afield sites the number 40 bus runs by the 'argentina' stop, which is less than 5 minutes walk away. Included breakfast was very good, the rooms were spacious and the quality of the bathroom particularly was high. We were a group of 5 friends so having two 3 bed rooms suited us perfectly. We were pleasantly surprised to find the third bed in both rooms was a 'proper' bed which was comfy.

“No frills with a great location”

Staying at this hotel which occupies 2 floors of an apartment building really gave us a feel for Rome and how people live there. The room was small but clean with an updated bathroom, and the location was perfect. Close to the monuments, to the supermarket, to good kosher restaurants...everything was within 10-15 mins. walking distance. We had a great stay in Rome partly because the location was so good. With two children 8 and 12 yrs old, we would take a taxi to the monuments which were further away in the morning such as the Vatican, and then leisurely walk our way back in the afternoon, passing other historical sights on the way. The service was good, they were very polite, efficient and courteous. The breakfast which was included gave us an early start to exploring the city. Great value for the price. My only complain was that the bed was not so comfortable.

“Good value, would return”

The Pantheon Inn was ideal. Friendly welcoming service, ultra central location, generously sized room with a very comfortable bed. It isn't a 5* hotel and does not pretend to be. What it does, it does well. If you want luxury, the Hotel d'Inghilterra will gladly charge you for it!!

“Location! Location! Location!”

PERFECTLY situated in the heart of Rome with easy easy access to many major "Must See"s in Rome. Easy Walking distance to Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navonna and Coliseum to mention a few. My two teenagers and I stayed in a room for three prior to going on cruise. We had a LOT of luggage which we did not store but simply kept in room so not sure how much room for clothing....but room served our purposes perfectly! Bathroom long and skinny but very modern and clean. But it was the location and price that will make me return! Could not have asked for a better deal in a more perfectly situated spot!
