“Nice small hotel, but shower is crazy small.”
My biggest complaint about this hotel is the ridiculously small shower. That in itself would not have been so bad, but the water pressure was terrible. It was a slow trickle. I did not even attempt to wash my hair, as it would have taken hours to rinse it out. My other complaint was getting nickel and dimed there. The shuttle to the airport was 6 Euro each way/per person, to use the internet was 7 Euro for one evening, and they charged you extra just to watch a TV show. The cost of the hotel was already high, so I thought with the terrible shower, this was pushing it. The shower aside, the beds were very comfortable, and the sheets felt of very good quality. The person at the front desk spoke very good English and was very friendly and helpful. The airport shuttle was right on time, and got us to the airport within 10-15 minutes. The room was clean, however it was small.
“Acceptable, but forgettable.”
The pros: - Cheaper than the Hilton on-site at Rome FCO airport - Shuttle service to the airport every 20 minutes or so - Buffet breakfast included, and edible; reasonable but not massive selection - Clean, modern, well-presented hotel - Usual toiletries included, wrapped up ready to "borrow" for the flight - shampoo, shower gel, soap, etc. - Fine to check in late (e.g. midnight) - Front desk staff were conversational in a number of languages The cons: - Booked a double room, they only had a twin left on arrival - WiFi didn't work (and apparently hadn't for some time), wasn't hotel-wide anyway, and the only other in-option room is via cable... at a charge - Breakfast was relatively mediocre; continental only - Shuttle service to airport is additional (6 Euros, from memory). 10-15 Euros taxi each way otherwise - Not *that* cheap by the time you've factored in the transport - No options for *any* drink other than the expense of in-room mini bar after 11pm or so... not even a can of coke. Overall, not too bad, and I'd have no issues with staying again - but personally I'd probably try an alternative just to see if there was anything better in the area for the price.
“Disappointed”
The pictures and description on the internet were accurate. The room was VERY small, shower was terrible!
“better than expected”

“Fine for overnight stay before your flight”
The Mach 2 is very conveniently located very near to the Fiumicino (Rome) airport on the edge of the small town of Fiumicino. The room I had was quite compact, basically clean and had the necessaries for my 1 night stay before a morning flight. You could hear sound from the room next door. The carpeting is ready for refreshment, if that bothers you. The bathroom was basically clean and overall a decent size BUT ( as with many Roman hotels) the footprint for the shower is quite small ( interior of the shower is a 2 foot square, so if you need more than 24 inches x 24 inches to shower, you might have a challenge). There was a small amount of mold in the edges of the sliding shower door and elsewhere in the shower, but the rest of the room was very clean. There is a restaurant in the building and several others down the street. I didn't need the shuttle service to the airport as I had a rental car which I parked in their private lot for free. My wake up call was right on time. The room had a sort of pricey minibar and free coffee/tea. Suited my purposes fine for a decent (expedia) price.
“Get what you pay for”
The Mach 2 is a cheap and friendly place to stay if you are flying in or out of Rome. Scruffy, a bit cramped but very convenient. Surprisingly there is an excellent restaurant just round the corner (Trattoria de Ville): fish dishes are excellent (Fiumcino was a fishing port long before it was an airport). Shuttle to the airport MUST be booked in advance.
“Convenient”
Typical italian hotel (small rooms in old buildings, weird achitecture) but very well located close to Fiumicino and FCO airport. I would recommed as it has a good value-cost relationship.
“blah hotel”
Ugly hotel, no frills, ugly neighborhood. wished I had booked somewhere else.
“Good value near Fiumicino”
We were happy with the hotel and restaurant next door. They have a very good breakfast buffet.
“Not Impressed”
Couldn't sleep because hotel has paper thin walls. The snoring man next door kept us up all night. Our flight arrived at Rome near midnight. The taxi drivers at the airport each claimed that the hotel is located in an inconvenient location despite its proximity to the airport and insisted on charging us 30 Euro for the ride from the airport to the hotel. We reported this to the hotel management who did nothing about it.
