“The best place to stay in Rome if you are sigh tseeing”
Booked late, arrived late staff were great and location made getting around a doddle. Also simple to find from the train station (unless you're my wife who can not read a map or follow the GPS on her phone!!!! Even then a friendly Roman helped find the place. Would recommend this hotel if you want to sight see, may be not so good if you want to relax by a pool and not mingle!!
“Would go there again”
Well placed for the station and sightseeing. Rooms were quiet and pleasant. The garden was a bonus. The breakfast was buffet style and ample.
“Hotel Select-could not have chosen better!”
Excellent welcome on arrival from Armando the manager (who was wonderful all stay)and cases taken to our room. Staff very friendly and helpful, particularly the lady in dinner room who could not have been nicer and more genuine and helpful. Nice breakfast with rolls, meats, cheeses etc. Given a excellent street map to find our way around with all the main sights listed clearly but staff would help you anyway. Pleasantly surprised to see that we were fairly central and could walk to colliseum (25mts) and vatican (1 hour) but taxis were cheap from square just by hotel (10euros to vatican) but metro and main train and bus stations only 5mt. walk anyway.Good restaurants too right by hotel and reasonably priced. Area of hotel very safe to walk around even late. Mini bar in room was well stocked and cheap as were prices in bar. One gripe (only a little one) was we returned one day and went to have a drink in the garden but they had run out of beer and small bottles of wine! Room more than adequate and cleaned every morning with all fresh towels. Soap, shower gel, shampoo and hair dryer all provided and iron too on request. We had a late flight home and the hotel looked after our cases after checking out and provided us with toilet and changing facilities to freshen up before leaving. Would definately recommend and if returning to Rome would stay here. Well done Armando and your staff.
“Perfect location, will certainly re book if re-visiting Rome”
Set in a guiet location yet 10 mins walk from Termini.Room small but spotlessly clean, all toiletries and towels replaced each day. Staff and owner very friendly. Breakfast courtyard just beautiful with lemon tree and jasmine hedge, also ideal for an evening tipple. Really is in walking distance of most attractions (we walked it,and we are of a certain age!)or there is an underground station 300yds away. Would definately stay here again if I am lucky enough to re visit Rome. Many restaurants within 5 mins walk for delicious and reasonably priced evening meal.
“Hotel is excellent value for a stay in Rome. Great location.”
We must concur with one of the unimpressed guests about the rooms on the ground floor. 3 of them and not very suitable for light sleepers. We were placed in room 110 for one night and then moved for the last two nights. We slept like a log in 110. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgable, rooms were small or tiny, but we only expected this on the 3* hotel charges. Book superior room and I am sure you will get a slightly larger one. We would highly recommend the hotel as all other aspects were excellent. Breakfast - continental, but very comprehensive. Rooms - small, very clean, but shower room tiny, not all rooms have safe. No lift, but again you can't have everything on a budget. Small breakfast garden a bonus, but the photos don't show the airconditioning unit above it. Don't be put off though. I would stay here again without hesitation. Excellent location, close to Termini station, but far enough away to be on a quiet street. The hotel recommends two restaurants nearby, both fair food, but "bobbi" restaurant has a pushy lead matriarch who spoils the evening - food good though.
“Satisfactory for the money”
This hotel's location is excellent, just five minutes' walk ffrom Termini with its trains and buses. If you're not in the first flush of youth, ground or first floor would be preferable. The breakfast buffet is better than similar hotels elsewhere in Italy. Overall, to be recommended.
“What a noisy room”
We were put in Room 114, which is on the ground floor immediately behind reception. There is no sound proofing, so every staff conversation, every late-nighter asking for their key, every phone call, is heard very clearly. You go to sleep when the last person comes in,you wake up when the first person gets up. THIS ROOM SHOULD NOT BE RENTED OUT. Unless you are guaranteed not to get this room, you should avoid this place. Nice breakfast, though.
