Small convenient hotel close to main attractions

Posted 11-Apr-2014
Pros: Walking distance to all main attractions, close to good eating places (Oregano around the corner for example)
Cons: Whilst there was a fridge with the usual cold drinks in the bedroom tea/coffee facilities would have been useful
Location: Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps etc but also the Shelley Keats Museum and gardens
Stayed 4 nights April 2014 triple room with teenage daughter. Staff most accommodating, good breakfast, English spoken. Room basic, reasonably clean, well ventilated.

Perfumed sewer smell so bad we paid and left

Posted 06-Apr-2014
The tiny dark cell of a room reeked of sewage blanketed with the sickening sweet spray they use in vain to try to cover it. It was so bad we left after a few hours to go to a nice hotel (although we had to pay rotten Il Pincio for first night!) Avoid this awful place....

Great Location

Posted 03-Apr-2014
Pros: Location
For me location is everything, and the Hotel Pincio is close to everything. Also close to metro stops. Room was quite large for Europe standards, had a mini bar and shower was divine. Bathroom was huge! Easy to come and go whenever I liked, Breakfast was simple but enough for me. Except its not really outside on a Patio. Its all glass doors (not sure if they open in summer) but not in march. it was very pretty but from the website and booking websites it makes it sound like they have this huge rooftop dining area. It is still good though. All in all, perfect location, room was great and standards were fantastic. I would def book this property again. Thanks for the excellent stay in beautiful Roma. :)

A quaint an wonderful stay.

Centrally located. Perfect for a visitor who wants to walk and explore. The only drawback is that internet connectivity is horrendous. Slow and frequently freezes. Made managing photos and email frustrating. I thought it might be Rome in general, but I stayed my last night closer to the airport and the connectivity was excellent.

nice , friendly hotel in great location

Posted 21-Mar-2014
Pros: location and staff
Cons: drains in room 301
Location: very short walk to the spanish steps and fancy shops eg armani. also very close to trevi fountain, piazza barberini and many restaurants.
Overall a great hotel at reasonable prices, breakfast had good selection and staff were very friendly. Reception was over the road at a different hotel, at such a short distance it did not hamper our stay. The room was very clean and the shower worked very well. The only negative we found was a smell of damp from the bathroom drains in the room we stayed in, but nothing an open window each day couldn't help as we were out exploring most of the time. We were very pleased with our stay at Hotel Pincio.

Cons: Room temperature could not be changed. Could be too noisy if window open.

Staff very welcoming. A good reasonably priced hotel in Rome Centre offering clean rooms with spacious bathroom.

Comfortable hotel, excellent location

Posted 23-Feb-2014
Pros: Modern clean rooms, quiet but central location. Good family friendly hotel.
Cons: There is no bar, no facilities to make hot drinks in rooms and nowhere to get an early breakfast.
Location: Very central close to Spanish steps but not so close to be busy, plenty of family friendly restaurants close by, and easily walkable to main sights
Very nice rooms, recently refurbished to high standard, very clean and comfortable. Hotel staff helpful and accommodated our request for adjacent rooms as we were travelling with children. Only minor gripe is the lack of facilities at the hotel - there is no lounge or bar - despite what it says on their website. Didn't spoil our trip but they could do with changing their website to remove this claim as it's not true!

A short walk away from the Spanish Steps

Posted 22-Feb-2014
Pros: It's central position and proximity to famous attractions.
Cons: Air conditioning could be improved and ability to switch heating down/off
Location: Very near the Spanish Steps. Also near a metro station. Nearby are Piazza del Popolo, trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Forum, Via Condotti, Via Veneto.
A very pleasant hotel within walking distance of all the most famous attractions. Reception staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful. The hotel is intimate with only 15 rooms but the bedrooms are spacious and recently refurbished in a black and white decor. Only drawback is that it was impossible to switch off the heating and the room was very hot for sleeping. The breakfast room on the top floor had views across the rooftops. The continental breakfast was basic but adequate except the coffee was tepid.
