“Pleasantly surprised”

The hotel calls itself a 4 star and it does live up to this standard. The room was large, with a separate dining/sofa area. The location is ideal, right on the Boa Viagem beach and very close to the airport. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Area recommendations
Boa Viagem beach and Olinda. The pools are nice for swimming in when the tide is out. Olinda is worthwhile if you like historic churches.

“A reasonable option in Recife”

This hotel is in a good location and is reasonably priced. It is not 5-star standard and could do with some remodelling. However, there may not be anything much better in Recife. It is clean and the staff are pleasant.

“Decent Hotel at a Reasonable Price”

The Golden Tulip Recife Palace Hotel is a nice hotel at a reasonable price. It's situated right on the beach so nice scenery and easy access to the sandy beach is right at the door step. The hotel has seen its better days but it's kept in reasonable conditions and quite clean. The restaurant offers decent breakfast, and lunch is quite decent as well. I didn't try dinner there so I am unable to comment. The bar at the lobby is rather small but serves the purpose. Staff is quite friendly, and willing to make reservations and give out welcome drink or discount coupons for restaurants, etc. The hotel still offers smoking rooms which is convenient for smokers but the smell is well contained through good ventilation so it doesn’t bother the non-smokers. All in all, a decent place to stay, at a reasonable price.

Area recommendations
The Shopping Recife which is a 15-minute walk from the Recife Palace Hotel is worth visiting.

“Het Golden Tulip Recife Palace pal aan de boulevard van Recife en dicht bij het vliegveld”

Boulevard van Recife is over het algemeen goed en met een prachtig strand tegenover je, maar je bent in een grote stad met alle goede en slechte zaken erbij (in Brazilie worden veel mensen ook op straat beroofd).
