“Lovely hotel, friendly staff really enjoyed it!”
The staff were very helpful and always attentive and friendly to speak to. The hotel itself is beautiful, thr gournds are kept fantastically and there is lots of options for activities and food. I would definitely recommend this to a friend for a family holiday. The remantic table on the beach was wonderdul and the staff did a brilliant job in helping me arrange this. The reason i say this is great for families is the all inclusive options, making it easy to get food and drink and the options for people. However it is a little busy for a romantic break as we struggled to find a quiet corner on the beach or by the pool. I am picking holes now because geniunly i thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and the whole experience and would do it again. But at check in the staff could be a little more helpful, It is a very large resort and they did not tell us where our room was or how to get there. We wandered around fro about 30 mins trying to find the appartment, i think this also led to the disjointed luggage delivery as we have to wait another 30 mins for our luggage. but once it came there were no complaints as the room was brilliant. The only other niggle was the 'concierge' people i didnt really understand what they did and got harrased by them fairly frequently in the first few days, we started to enter the restarurants from the side doors to avoind them whoch solved the problem.
“Not impressed”
The areas were we were less satisified from our hotel were as follow: - the lack of long chairs at the Royal Service beach area, and actually the Royal Service beach area is not very nice, just standard long chairs with one small bar with long lines (and just one very busy beach towell guy) - the lack of long chairs at the Gabi Club pool area and actually the lack of pool chairs generally at all the hotel pool areas (to clarify, this meant if you wanted a long chair at a pool ara or on the beach you had to go and reserve it about 7am, you then faced the risk of someone taking away your towel to take your chair if you did not sit there and guard your towell/chair!!!) - the 10 minutes walk to the beach from our room (not ideal with small children although there is a small train to take us there, that is not ideal to fold and unfold the stroller and wait 10 minutes for the hotel public transport in the hot sun); - the same food every day for 10 days at the Gabi club restaurant buffet and with a limited fresh fruit selection to chose from (we only had melon, watermelon and pineaple to chose from); and last but not least - the low level of service at the Royal Service reception (when you try and call from your room to the Royal Service reception area for anything, you are likley to be hung up on, you try and call again and it will likely be busy for a few minutes at leat and you try again and then if you lucky they will pick up and you will be put on hold for 5-10 minutes).
