“Warm and friendly staff in a very comfortable hotel”
I generally stay in the city whilst in Perth, and have never had a brilliant experience. To try something different I stayed just outside the CBD and the Murray fit my companies travel expenditure policy. Whilst the hotel has a motel feel the staff are great, the food was great and the rooms are very large and comfortable. There car parking onsite, and a service station around the corner for bits and pieces.
“Good value”
This hotel has friendly courteous staff and comfortable rooms. The location is convenient for Subiaco/West Perth and is within walking distance of Kings Park. There is a CAT bus service right outside the door that links the hotel with the city centre. For those with a car, there seems to be plenty of parking on site. The hotel has a cosy restaurant and bar area which provides breakfast as part of the room rate. The downsides of this location is that the traffic noise can be noticeable and the open air corridors are a bit breezy. The bathroom could be better, and although clean, it's very basic.
“Going to the footy - worth a stay.”
If like us you are going to Perth for the footy - then this hotel is definitely worth thinking about. It is in easy walking distance from the ground... there is a free bus service for the city of Perth (very user friendly ) with a stop at the front door. The train - also easy to use - is nearby as well. The restaurant at the hotel is inexpensive by comparison to some of the nearby (walking distance) restaurants - but that is for good reason. The meals are just passable. I had to ask for shampoo and conditioner - and a face washer as none were provided in the room. The face washer was not provided after asking - and I found this bizarre as they provided earplugs in the room in case it was not quiet enough. There were no noise problems. This hotel was reasonably priced - has been recently renovated - and should definitely be considered if you are going over to see your football team play at Subiaco.
“Clean, comfortable but basic”
The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. Bathrooms were very small and in need of renovation, it was difficult to sit on the toilet without hitting yourself on the sink. I also didn't realise when I booked that the room corridors were accessible from outside - could be improved by installing security door/gate between stairwell and carpark.
“My trip.”
Menu was very disapointing, very limmited choice of meals.
“Only good for the hard of hearing”
The noise levels around this hotel are awful, a major highway runs alongside with a set of traffic signals, lorries moving away cause an incredible level of noise all through the night. The hotel even provides earplugs in the rooms to help you block out the noise!! The new owners have spent time and money on a refit but the building itself is poor and with the levels of noise all the money will be wasted unless they can soundproof the rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful but the breakfast was average and the internet speed poor. Only stay here if you can't find somewhere else.
“el aspecto del hotel es feo”
no me gusto porque parece motel ya adentro de tu habitacion es diferente y las personas son muy amables
“Good experencience with this hotel”
We arrived at the hotel at 11:30. Check in was normally at 14:00 but they chased the girls from cleaning to have our room ready as soon as possible. Also friendly staff and a nice, large room. Breakfast was good. Also location was good. The meal were average but good priced. Only 16 dollars for a lasagna with a beer :-).
