Staying in Central Paris on a budget.

Posted 08-Jul-2013
Cons: Fix the broken window in room #4.
Location: Buy tickets for the hop on hop off bus system. You can see all of Paris on their 4 lines. I recommend buying the 2 day pass.
I will start by saying that what was lacking in the room was compensated by the pleasant hotel staff. The manager Shihab personally walked me to the local grocery store and bakery. The only real negative that I have was you should ask to be put on a lower floor. Each flight of stairs there are 25 steps, and the hotel has five floors with no elevator. The walk up and down is a killer.

Disappointing and tired

Posted 02-Dec-2012
Pros: Good, central location
Cons: Shabby and scruffy
This accommodation is grossly mis-sold. It is shabby and run down, far from the luxury level promised. There are few facilities available, no formal reception, no tourist information, no lift, 101 tight twisting steps to our apartment. Sold as being suitable for 5/6 people we had 2 cups and 3 chipped bowls to share. Heaters did not work and the TV was a mystery! Wifi was working though The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful but they were not always on the premises.

This could be the best or worst hotel for you.

Extremely good / extremely bad reviews on tripadvisors. Now I can explain it. This hotel is located in the center of Paris, and most buildings in this area are very old, and they don't have elevators. Pros : room is even more beautiful than picture here, and spacy. If you're an early adapter, you'd love this room with smart TV, DVD, electronic oven, game console(not sure it's X-box or PS), etc. Very close to RER station. Cons : I hated moving my 15kg carrier bag to 3rd(actually 4th) stair. Entrance and isle is shabby. Shower booth floods, and no room for shampoo/body soap. VERY NOISY with street noise. Old wooden smell at first entrance, which disappears in time. Bottomline : If you're staying for just one day(like me) - not recommended. If you're staying for a few days(and if you can take advantage of multi-day discount ; this hotel is a bit pricy) and you have children - this is the hotel for you, if you don't mind the wooden smell and noisy street.

Steps from the Louvre. Very spacious apartment

Posted 04-Sep-2012 on Hotels.com
We are a family of 5 and this apartment was spacious enough for all of us. The location is great as it is about 2 blocks from the Louvre Museum. It was very clean and well maintained. The beds were more comfortable than most other apartments we have stayed at before. The only negative comment I may share is that the airconditioning unit is not big enough for this apartment and did not serve its purpose. Felt like there was no air conditioner at all even though we had it running at its highest level. We opened the windows and it felt very confortable inside at night so this was not much of a big deal at all.

Apartment in Paris

Posted 27-Jun-2011 on Hotels.com
This was not what I expected but very pleasantly surprised. This is not a Hotel at all but several apartments that are rented. You will need an entry code and key lock box code to enter (this was not included with my reservation so I had to call and someone quickly came by to help me). This is a spacious studio apqrtment with updated bathroom and full kitchen including washer. very large by Paris standards. No A/C but large windows and fan kept cool. Excellent LOCATION!
