November 2014

Posted 19-Nov-2014
Pros: Excellent facilities. 5 pools, plenty of sun loungers, never over crowded, discerning clientele. Attentive staff. Modern room - deluxe studio.
Cons: parking limited in hotel. Studio apartments do not have oven.
Location: As above. Paphos great place. Very good tavernas. Eat at the Old Schoolhouse near Konia. Short drive but great views, wonderful food.
Very pleasant stay for our first time in Cyprus. Hotel well located in quiet street await from noise, a short walk to harbour and old city. Very clean facilities. Modern, with lots of continuing investment. Staff unfailingly courteous and helpful. Internet in lobby areas free and good. We chose to pay extra and for room internet and found it very poor so we told reception, not thinking they would be bale to deal with it. They immediately called the provider and the next day we have 5 bars signal and for the remainder of our stay. Impressive. This is not the cheapest place around - you can find cheaper hotels but this is very good value for money. You get what you are paying for, good facilities, very pleasant clientele, good food at buffet breakfast. We plan to go again. And Paphos greatly exceeded our expectations. Visits to the various archaeological sites are amazing. Plenty for the discerning traveller on top of sunshine.

Lovely relaxing November break

Posted 09-Nov-2014
We've just returned from a lovely week at the King Jason. We we're looking for somewhere warm to kick back and relax for the first week of November, as our first break away without the kids. When choosing, we went for Paphos over somewhere like Egypt or the Canaries - as we like to get out of the hotel and explore - and Cyprus seemed to have a good November climate. We were not disappointed - with the temperature sitting around 24-25 degrees all week, mainly clear blue skies - only one day of rain. All of the harbourside restaurants were still open, and offering excellent deals on food (I really wouldn't bother with all-inclusive, unless you can't manage the 10 minute walk down to the harbour.) You are spoilt for choice with restaurants, cafes and bars. The King Jason itself is a little gem. We stayed in one of the newly built deluxe studio rooms, and despite the bed being a little hard, it was stunning, and very well equipped. The pools were immaculate, and we spent a lot of time laying around the Hydro pool - sunning and chilling, then heading off into town, or to one of the historical sites mid afternoon, or to take advantage of the cocktail happy hours! The hotel staff are fantastic - we never heard a crossed word, or saw a frown all week. It is a very happy ship, and this comes across all day long. They will do anything for you to make your stay enjoyable. We will definately be returning as soon as we can offload the kids again for another week! ;)

Apt Hotel with good security and facilities

Posted 19-Oct-2014
Pros: Adult only area
Cons: Not much for the price.
Location: Location is residential urban. Nothing at all nearby. Half a mile walk to the shops, but that is OK.
Very, very good staff. Unusual features such as adult only pool, and adult only library/lounge. Kids have their place, adults can have theirs, too. Very nice place to stay. The local church bells ringing out at midnight and 7 am were a bit of a pain, but apart from that, very quiet ambience. High security fencing - could rival Camp Bastion, but did not stop the local cats coming in for a purr and a snack from leftovers.

Excellent aparthotel

Posted 08-Oct-2014
Cons: The position of the hotel is the only thing that can be faulted but I a sure if the hotel was moved to the seafront it would double in price
Excellent apart hotel about 15 mins walk to Paphos seafront and a little longer to the harbour The hotel has was refurbished recently and some new accommodation added. There are 4 pools (2 adult only) and always a lot of sunloungers spare. Hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed self catering though most stay on an inclusive basis. We ate in the hotel once and it was fine. Everyone we spoke to said the food was good although repetitive if you stay for more than one week. Would thoroughly recommend the hotel and will return.

Fantastic Time!

Posted 08-Oct-2014
Pros: Everything - room facilities, food, pools and relaxing areas
Cons: The only thing was the gym was a little disappointing - multi-gym broken
Location: Nice walk to the harbour and beach - fantastic choice of restaurants near by and close to bus stops so it's easy to get about
Wonderful hotel, friendly and helpful staff who could not do enough to help! Superb facilities - overall 100%
