A very picturesque location

Posted 06-Aug-2014
Pros: The location/the people and the ambience. Food is very good
Cons: If you have something in the hotel that is not readily available in one location then pleast get it or make it available in that location.
Location: There is much to do - a lovely location
I always enjoy time spent at the Anassa. Its a wonderful hotel with very helpful staff. You do need to be specific if you wish for things that they dont have i.e. bottled water round the pool etc... Its just a matter that it needs to be located from a different rerstaurant - little things like this just need sorting rtaher than they say we can't. Other than such small annoyonces the food and the people are wonderful. I would especially recommend the water sports centre located on the beach - a wonderful bunch of individuals with expereince that will get you wake - boarding water-skiing/ sailing by the time you leave.

Excellent hotel. Private beach and watersports.

Posted 14-Jul-2014
Pros: Very well managed. Effortless charm. Beautifully designed hotel, expansive feel. Water features, fountains etc gave tranquil atmosphere.
Cons: Not much.
Location: Special location next to National Park sets this hotel apart. Hiking, watersports, archaeology on the doorstep.
Akamas Peninsular, beautiful part of Cyprus. Humid and very warm. Sea incredibly warm. No jellyfish, wasps, litter. Water calm for waterskiing, especially early morning. Beach stony and surprisingly steep to get out of, but sandy away from water's edge. Hotel beautifully designed. Very friendly staff. Plenty of varied cuisine, themed dinners etc. Very expensive food, so be warned. Hire car too small and aircon largely useless. Great deal to see if you like archaeology, history etc. We ate out in the port on one occasion, but it was not comparable with the hotel. (A menu running to ten pages, and every nationality catered for!) Excellent live music in the evening. Female singer/male guitarist - full repertoire. Both our male teenage children loved it, but no drunken party atmosphere. Just relaxed and very special. Highlight - taking a private boat along the coast to explore the beaches in the National Park.

Excellent hotel close to Akamas National Park

Posted 29-Apr-2014
Pros: Everything - the outside breakfast area was set in delightful gardens and was sufficiently spacious. The hotel staffing level was generally good.
Cons: Would not change anything!
Location: The Aphrodite and Adonis trails are good for walking - beautiful scenery. Of course - great to be so close to the beach.
Complete satisfaction from the time we rolled up close to midnight after a long day travelling until the moment we left after a 3 night stay. The staff were professional but always friendly - a real sense of a genuine welcome and a pride in introducing us to Cyprus. The food and Cypriot wine at the Basilika restaurant were excellent. The location was perfect for us - close the beach and good walking trails. Importantly, we felt thoroughly relaxed throughout our stay. The surprise birthday cake awaiting us on the evening of my partner's birthday was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Thank you to all at Anassa - we will be recommending this to our friends. We know they will love this hotel too.

A beautiful hotel with superb facilities.

Posted 20-Oct-2013
Pros: The whole complex was beautifully maintained. The variety of restaurants, facilities such as WiFi was excellent. We would definitely return.
Cons: The only thing we would have asked for was a sofa in our room. There were seats on our balcony and chairs at our table but only one armchair.
Location: On the coast near the Baths of Aphrodite well placed to explore the mosaics and antiquities of Paphos and the Troodos Mountains.
A wonderfully relaxing 9 days in beautiful surroundings. The attention to detail was superb. The old adage of 'you get what you pay for' really held. Waking up to blue skies and perfect weather was an added bonus.

Excellent staff and service but food overpriced

Posted 30-Jul-2013
The Anassa staff were excellent and never put a foot wrong. Always attentive and willing to help and genuinely looking to make your stay enjoyable. The facilities were good, with private beach, spa and restaurants but the food and drink was well overpriced for what it was and put a downer on the holiday.

Disappointing Anassa

Posted 22-Jul-2013
Pros: The beach and views of sea from terrace.
Cons: The service. The rooms. The small touches which distinguish top class hotels.
Location: The Baths of Aphrodite, The Old Town restaurant in Polis, the coastal drive from Polis to Pomos is beautiful.
I had high expectations from the Anassa, but our stay was disappointing and I would not recommend this hotel to other travelers. At these prices, I expect certain standards to be met, but unfortunately the Anassa did not meet them. Our room was small with nowhere at all to put our luggage. After complaining, we were eventually told that the only other room available was the one next door which was identical! Most five star hotels I've stayed at supply complimentary bottled water to the room every day. No water was supplied. There were no tea making facilities in the room. No daily newspaper. The small touches you expect as standard practice at top class hotels were absent from the Anassa. Perhaps the hotel believes that its beach and views compensate for lack of service in other areas, but I found the mediocre room standard very disappointing.

Hidden gem!

Posted 19-Apr-2012
Location: As good as middle of nowhere and that was the reason I chose this hotel!
I wish I added full board when I was booking as my one week stay eat and drink at the hotel cost me half a whole package I got! (flight and hotel) The spa was outstanding! I am going back for a few days relaxation not with the children! if you are after a lively holiday, full of fun and entertainment then it's definitely not your place! It's a quietest, nicest place you could find, a hidden gem!

Happy Hols

Posted 15-Oct-2007
All staff without question gave the highest standard of service. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a studio suite which was more like a slightly bigger room - not quite what I would call a suite. The food in the Helios restaurant was absolutely beautiful. It suited me as I like small portions. If you have a large appetite it might not be the place for you, but you will be missing a real treat! All in all we had a lovely relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings.
