“All in all a nice place”

The location is very handy. Just a couple of stops from the Shinkansen station, 1 stop from the main Osaka JR station, and direct access to the subway from the hotel. The staff is very pleasant and the rooms are nice enough. The room size is pretty good by Japanese standards. The only down side is that the hotel is not in the immediate vicinity of the areas where you want to visit in Osaka. That is offset by the easy transit access.

“good location and service”

I recommend this hotel as it is very close to the main Osaka station and the busy shopping area.15 minute walk. The staff were very helpful and the service was very good.

Area recommendations
Umeda as it is one of the main shopping areas with numerous food outlets and easy access to train and subway transport.
When to go
Avoid the summer heat otherwise the intense heat and humidity will ruin your holiday.

“Outstanding Osaka”

The staff were awesome from exchanging currency to providing detailed instructions on a map. Customer service is still alive and well in Osaka.

Area recommendations
The Osaka Castle was awesome. You must meet the cool whale shark at Osaka Aquarium. The Tempozan Giant Ferris Wheel gives you fabulous view of both the city and the harbor. Shopping in Osaka is a must especially the underground.

“Ramada Osaka is brilliant”

They have great english and concierge was extremely helpful. Also, able to sell tickets for entry to main attractions which included public transport and they gave very detailed directions. While the room was on the small side (which was clearly stated when we booked) the space was well laid out and functional, enough room for two ridiculously large suitcases and all of our purchases.... The fact that the hotel it above a subway station is a huge bonus and only a 10 minute walk into the major JR rail station. Great little places to eat very nearby the hotel as well as a coin laundromat. You really can't go wrong with Ramada Osaka for service and location. We highly recommend this hotel.

“great location for sightseeing”

hotel was close to many eateries, bakeries, shopping, and trains to get to other places......ask to be on the street side when booking instead of the alley....lights of other buildings came thru if u didnt close curtains...beds and comforters were very comfortable. bathroom did smell moldy....english newspaper a plus....limited english speaking employees...no english speaking employees cleaning rooms... small room but was expected....would stay again! amazing place to be.

Area recommendations
umeda is an upbeat neighborhood with many places to visit, many restaurants and noodle places and great bakeries.....lots of underground malls and plenty of places to go.....subways, trains, buses, and information booths in everywhere....I'll definately go back but not in march.....cherry blossom trees were not in bloom, too cold too.
Getting around
great hotel to be in to get around....starbucks right across the street~

“Meets North American standards of cleanliness and service”

We've been to Japan several times but never to Osaka. This hotel is in a great location and is attached directly to a subway station making travel very easy. We're Canadian, so we like things a little cooler than the Japanese, so we had to request that the windows in our room be unlocked so we could open them (the room was a sweltering 26 degrees when we arrived, and hermetically sealed). The hotel was pretty clean and the service was good, though we had some minor trouble with English (we don't speak Japanese and not all the staff spoke English well enough to work at the front desk and of course nobody there speaks French). Ask for a room that's in the upper few stories so you can get a nice view. We were on the 16th floor and it was great. Lots of amazing restaurants just south of the hotel. Convenience stores within steps of the hotel's front door. If we return to Osaka we will stay at the Ramada.

Area recommendations
Umeda--lots of restaurants and great for people-watching.
What to pack
Travel light. Pack your bags, then remove half of what you packed. You will want to do some shopping while you're there--prices are great and not everything is made in China.

“Osaka hidden gem”

My overall experience with this hotel is very positive. The hotel rate is very reasonable. The location is another big plus because It is directly connected to the subway station. The room size is bigger then your typical japanese hotel room. Free Internet connection (wired) is available in all rooms. The hotel staffs are very friendly and having no problem with english.

“Convenient location and very clean room.”

Good hotel with very convenient access to the Osaka subway system from the basement level of the hotel. We stayed for 6 nights and used it as our base for sightseeing trips to Osaka, Nara, Kyoto and Hiroshima. Room was a bit small as most are in Japan but this was not a problem as we only used the room for sleeping. Room was very clean and very functional. No concierge desk but the staff spoke enough English and were always helpful. Only 10 minute safe walking to the Umeda district and department stores. Hotel also has a couple of handy convenience shops nearby. We would have no hestitation in staying there again.

Area recommendations
My recomendation to all tourist travellers to Japan is to always book a hotel handy to a train station.
Getting around
We do a lot of travelling but Japan has the best train system we have encounted anywhere in the world. Get a JR pass before you leave home and also make full use of the subways. My wife and I are both over 60 and we organised all our travelling and sightseeing ourselves. If we can master the different types of subway ticket vending machines in about 10 minutes then anyone can. And the train station staff were always extremely polite and helpful.

“I would definitely stay there again.”

The Ramada was in an excellent location. The staff was very polite and the room and hotel were very clean. The Ramada is located right above a main subway line stop. Its a ten minute walk or a 2 minute subway ride to the center of most attractions. Great hotel at a very reasonable price.
