Very central ,but on a very noisy road.Everything in the room was acceptable ,staff very mannered and helpful. Room was clean and has enough utilities to have a quick breakfast or a late hot snack in the evening! Location was good.We could walk everywhere, within 2 miles radius from the hotel is everything you need for a holiday.

Needs refurbishing.

Posted 04-Oct-2013
Pros: Free wi-fi, air con, location
Cons: Decor, cleanliness, more facilities e.g. bar or restaurant
Location: There are bars & shops fairly close by and a tram stop.
Our stay in an Adagio studio apartment brought back memories of student living! It was dingy and the bathroom stank of drains for almost the entire trip. The bathroom is also tiny, the shower curtain looked like it could fall off any minute and the shower itself wasn't great. The whole hotel needs refurbishing as the decor is tired and grubby throughout. Our blanket on our bed was also a bit grubby, although the bed was reasonably comfy & sheets were clean. Our coffee maker didn't work however it was replaced by the helpful staff. The kitchenette is tiny and wouldn't be very good for general cooking beyond baguettes as breakfast. The fridge occasionally made a loud noise, we got used to it but could be a problem if you are a light sleeper. It's location is good and handy for local transport links & shops. Wi-fi was free, the air con worked and staff were helpful but although fairly cheap for Nice it's still overpriced and I would stay elsewhere in future

Good location near the Garibaldi tram station so it's convenient if you're coming from the train station. Beds are comfortable and the service is friendly and efficient.

they say they have parking, but it was always "full". The dude at the reception was extremely unhelpful sorting that out. Far from the bustling nightlife of Nice, takes about 15mins walk. Better off finding somewhere else, even if you do have to pay a little extra.

For a low cost convenient stay this is it

We stayed here last year and came back for longer this time. It's cleaner and more safety conscious than before. Rooms are quite big enough and aircon works well. Apart from a kettle, everything you need is here to make a good meal if so inclined. It's close to Carrefour and Monoprix supermarkets and to tram and bus transport to the Airport, Cannes and Monte Carlo. Bus 98 and 100 pass Pl Garibaldi (200m) and the tram stop is even closer. The old town and the Port are within ten minutes walk, with the beach and main shopping streets about 15 to 20 minutes. A good idea to buy or bring swimming shoes to walk over the shingle if you want to swim on the public beaches (life guards on duty). The hotel has its own small swimming pool (1.2m deep). TV includes BBC Global and CBS in English. Only slight drawback is the single lift. Quietest rooms on floors 4 to 6. Will be returning again next year.

Good Value

The Adagio was good value for money, nothing special but ideal location, clean, and the staff were mostly helpful. Pool and roof area very small but an added bonus. Would use again.

OK for the money

Posted 29-Aug-2013
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful
Cons: Bathroom was too small
The hotel itself is in a good location. You have shops and restaurants nearby with a tram stop around the corner. It's a good walk to the promenade but a pleasant one at that. We arrived before check in and the staff locked up our case so we could explore in peace. They also did this when we checked out. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room itself was clean but very small. The only issue we had was with the bathroom. If you sat on the loo, you could not shut the door. The bathroom was cramped and only had a shower which was fine. We also had issues with the toilet flusher which didn't seem to work much. That said, this is a two star hotel and it was fine for the money. If I came to Nice again, I'd probably want something more upmarket.

A word of advice.

Posted 23-Aug-2013
Pros: Location was decent.
Cons: Everything.
Location: The beach is near and nice resteraunts.
Oh my god where do I start. Our room was pokey and small, the beds are uncomfortable and the pillows were rock solid. But The worst thing by far was that our bathroom smelt of sewage and they couldn't fix it forcing us to live with the smell. Oh and they charged me for 4 breakfasts after reassuring me I won't be charged since I made it clear I didn't want it . Disgrace of a hotel.

Good location

Posted 09-Aug-2013
Pros: Air conditioning a god send
Cons: Staircase was winding but had no bannister to hold on too
Location: Good location close to port, and the old town, and tram line close by,
The staff was friendly and very helpful, good location, 10 min from Port , old town 5 min walk away. Good facilities in room fridge, microwave, 2 hot plates, all in good working order. Bathroom on the small side but does the job. As we were there for 6 nights room was not cleaned but a broom and dustpan was provided to clean up ourselves. Various mini markets close by. We experienced no noise at all and slept very well. Overall would defiantly stay here again.
