“Will not return!”

This B&B was too quirky for us. Whilst the people who ran the B&B were very friendly and helpful the atmosphere was too stiff and dark and the whole place stuffy and overcrowded with trinkets. The bed was probably the most uncomfortable bed I have every slept in (or tried to sleep in)!!

“Bait and switch?”

We were disappointed with the room size -- no headroom -- and location -- in the attic -- to the extent that we took a much more expensive room and spent much more money than we expected to on this trip. The reasonably priced room had no safe egress in case of fire and there was no elevator. If you like over-the-top Victoriana this Bed and Breakfast might seem wonderful. It was not to our taste, however, and we were disappointed that our "special rate" room was not suitable.

Area recommendations
"Top of the Hill" neighborhood in Newport RI is wonderful because it is quiet but still within walking distance of the beach, harbor and Cliff Walk.

“A sweet find in Newport!”

Host was very personable. Bed was extremely comfortable. The inn was quiet, clean and welcoming. Everything was in walking distance. We would definitely stay there again!

“Convient, quiet location”

Quality and varied breakfasts, but on their schedule (9am). Owners are very attentive to their guests.

“Architects Inn - George Champlin Mason”

L'accueil était très sympathique, et tant l'architecture que la décoration intérieure étaient magnifiques. Tout était très propre, le seul reproche que l'on puisse faire, c'est l'odeur de "vieille maison". Le petit déjeuner était excellent. B&B très agréable et confortable; à recommander pour les visiteurs de Newport, magnifique petite ville, aux maisons toutes plus belles les unes que les autres..
