“This palce needs TLC and some money put back into the property”
All of the hotel umbrellas were broken excpets for one at the pool, the lawn chairs were old and worn out, the pool deck paint was red, hot and peeling, the bathroom by the pool was infested with mosquitoes, the kitchen and bar ran out of normal items and were not restocked. The music at the bar would be played too loud into the evening and they wouldn't even have customers up there, only the bartender. Basically June isn't putting any money back into the property. The place isn't bad but the cosmetic changes really drag the place down. I couldn't make any local calls due to non-payment of the bill, per the recording that came on the phone when attempting to make an outside of property call. The place is falling apart!
“There are Better Choices”
Sunset on the cliffs is a decent hotel but there are better places to stay in Negril for not much more money. The cliffs location in the west end has a nice view and is relaxing and secluded, but the hotel was pretty dead and walking in anywhere else in the neighborhood can be sketchy. Also, there is NOT a beach. If you are looking to spend a lot of time on the beach you should stay at sunset on the beach instead. The free shuttle to the beach property (which is actually just random drivers the hotel calls) only runs between 10-11 & 3-4 if you can actually get the front desk to find you someone. The hotel itself is a bit run down, and the beds are very uncomfortable. The pool is nice and the free breakfast is pretty good.
“Loved it!”
Everything was as we expected after reading multiple reviews. This ws not a fancy resort but it was quiet, relaxing and just what we needed. All the staff were wonderful and we had an extremely pleasant stay. The food was excellent, the rooms clean and we know we want to return.
“Never again!!”
No hot water, no vibe, NO FUN! 6th trip to Negril, worst hotel experience ever, anywhere.
“Perfect Jamaica”
The hotel was exactly as I expected, tropical breezes with waves crashing on the coral cliffs. Beautiful sunsets and delicious drinks along with scuba/ snorkling right from the hotel. Sunny or shadyspots for sunbathing, Quiet and relaxing, No air conditioning needed in the room, a nice breeze keeps the room comfortable. Delicious meals at reasonable prices at the hotel or go out to local restaurants and get delicious meals at very low prices. People are friendly and helpful.
“Disappointed :(”
We were looking for a quick trip and place to get away that was warm and relaxing. We were not looking for a 4-5 star hotel...just a nice, quiet, low-key hotel. While the food and hotel staff were great, our room was very dirty and all of the plumbing in the bathroom had issues: 1) sink faucet sprayed all over the place when it was turned on 2) the toilet leaked at the base and we had to keep a towel wrapped around it the entire duration of our stay 3) the shower head stopped providing hot water during our first shower and once fixed we were only able to get enough hot water for a shower later in the day as they must not be able to accomodate all of their guests in the morning with hot water. We don't think that a clean room and working plumbing is too much to ask. The location was great and we look forward to our next trip to Negril. However, we will not be staying here again.
“Hotel in a quiet location, few minutes from 7 miles beach (with car)”
Good Hotel, compared wihe price is a real cheap accomodation with rooms big and warm. Nothing negative, the continental breakfast is small, but included in the price and then is however a good experience. Recommended
