“Ok place to stay.”

Nice place to stay for the price. Restaurants and ice-cream within walking distance. The hot tub had so much chemical in it, we couldn't breath without coughing. It wasn't very hot either--and the pool was cold. Other guests complained also. We had a problem being double charged for the night. They charged my card even though we had already paid through Expedia. A simple phone call and they took care of it. The young man blamed it on a new employee. Overall, a decent place to stay.

Area recommendations
All of it--great town to vacation.
When to go
The week following Memorial Day. We pretty much had all of the attractions to ourselves. And the weather was pretty good too. Pictured Rocks boat tour was excellent. And if you enjoy a short hike you see Miner's Falls and Miner's Castle--both amazing to see. Pack clothes for all kinds of weTher--it changes from day to day.

“Terrible Experience”

The front desk person was rude and apathetic at check in. The room was shabby and smelled terrible, it was a non-smoking room be had a terrible smoke odor. We asked for a different room and was told there was nothing available even though there were still rooms available. The beds were a nightmare, the pool was roudy and overcrowded, and the breakfast room could not accomodate all of the guests, so much for the free breakfast.
