“not impressed”
good hotel been before always good service. Rooms v ery small as I also paid for a upgrade. Did not get a bath as requested just a shower in fair condition. Just one chair in double room but received another one on request. Breakfast excellent with a very good choice and enough seating for all at breakfast time which was from 7.3o until 10.30 good times. Received a picnic pack when leaving early excellent as good as a sit down meal. Drinks in hotel very expensive as per usual. All rates have gone up over the last few years.
“have stayed many times”
having stayed at this hotel many times speaks for itself. as always had great time. we opt for bed and breakfast which is always plentiful. i have read some reviews stating staff are rude and unhelpful but we found the exact opposite. we had room without balcony and when we asked for different room we were immediately given another room without any arguement. as said have been coming here for twenty years and will keep coming back. ps location great as near to port but far enough away for peace and quiet. also good entertainment in hotel..
“Very old rooms and furniture”
I got a room with dirty and old furniture.
“Ok hotel”
Hotel ok, waiters were hit and miss. Bit further from marina then led to believe - was a bit of a walk.Puerto Banus was a nice place but not on my list of places to go back.
“Essex On Sea”
WARNING - Forget about a peaceful Couples break (as Thomsons) would have you believe. Thursday to Sundays are like living in the middle of a City Centre with the loudness and the loutish behaviour of young gangs of people in their 20's and 30's casting an uneasy and intimidating atmosphere over the complex. The pool bar closed for one day due to a fight where the police were called. The hotel staff continued to offer a steady supply of alcohol in glasses around the pool. Several were dropped and there was glasss around, and probably , in the pool. Hotel wise, it is very impressive in it's layout. The food was very good and the hotel entertainment was above average (when you could hear it above the screaming and foul language of the "TOWIE wannabee's". The worst thing for us was our room, a refurbished Junior suite. Although it looked OK at first, there were some paint chips and torn wallpaper already. Now a dripping from your bathroom ceiling is one thing but not to be expected on the top floor. We complained and a guy came round, poked his finger through to make a bigger hole and it stopped until the evening. 3 times we complained as we were losing sleep over the constant dripping and then the ceiling started to collapse. We were then told off as it was our problem as we had the air- conditioning unit on - unbelievable really! We won't be back. If you do want a romantic couples break here just make sure you are out of there between Thursday to Sunday
“A lovely break”
A good hotel and great value for money. Our second stay. We upgraded and got a room facing the sun. Great location and food is good. A mixture of all ages in the hotel. Facilities seem to cater for everyone.
“Simply bad!”
This hotel is simply bad. We would never return. It started with the hallways to the room- old and smelly with very old carpet. Our room was overlooking the pool and they had awful live music every night...we also had separate beds so we asked to move. The bathrooms are very old (70s maybe?). The rooms are remodeled and an ok size. They make you pay for using the safe in the room and do not provide irons but provide ironing service for an extra charge. Awful breakfast buffet. The food was just tasteless and they even give you instant coffee...The pool is not that great either. They hired a great photographer to photoshop the pictures online. The staff wasn't very helpful either. No one gave us instructions on where anything was (beach, food, gym etc.) They charge a fee for room service and don't let you know in advance ( this is not tax or gratuity). The worst hotel we've stayed in Spain.
“Great hotel at good price”
Really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is modern, clean and quite fancy for a 4 star. The breakfast was amazing each day and is worthy of a 5 star hotel. It is conveniently located to Puerto Banus and took us around 15 mins to walk to the marina from the hotel each day. The beach is about a 10 minute walk. We spent our days by the pool however as that was also great, with plenty of space Only room for improvement - the entertainment. the hotel seems to employ 3 acts who play every single day and evening, and play the same songs every time! This can get a bit tiresome after a few days.
“Lovely Hotel”
Better than I thought it would be after reading reviews.Hotel clean, room was too and was a 4Star , plenty of choice for breakfast. Not very far from beach and shops plenty of choice to eat out there is a Saturday Market 5minutes away.Yes I would stay there again.
“Would go back in a heartbeat!”
This hotel is on the level of some 5 and 4 star Mexican resorts. The lobby is grand and beautiful. The rooms are new and spacious with really comfortable beds. One downside was that the flush in our room wasn't working properly. It also has a nice pool--go there early to reserve beds and avoid the bar at the pool. The breakfast buffet offered a vast range of different breads, croissants, fruit, yogurt and so on with a chef that offered to cook your eggs how you wanted at your service. Location is also great and within walking distance of puerto banus.
