Situated on a white-sand beach on the Sea of Cortez, the 7 buildings of the low-rise, earth-colored adobe Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos makes a dramatic architectural statement with its horizontal lines. Cactus gardens grace spacious grounds. 3 swimming pools include Estuary Pool, an adults-only pool shaped like a quarter-moon; a family pool with rousing volleyball matches next to the swim-up bar; and a children's pool. Due to a strong undertow, swimming off the beach is not recommended. There are umbreallas, sun loungers, and towels available on the beach.

This resort's 5 specialized restaurants are complemented by 3 swim-up bars, a big snack bar palapa, and a lobby bar with live piano music. A fitness center and the indoor-outdoor supervised children's activity center are open year-round.
