Put me in a room under renovation. The room had paint cans, ladders, and work equipment in it. When I requested a new room, was downgraded. New room did not have soap in the bathroom.

The Thompson is a comfortable, reasonably priced hotel in a good location. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay there.

The pool and hot tub are amazing for a hotel, and open later than most. Plus the arcade is a nice way to spend some time. The person doing my check in was so nice and helpful with anything we needed. That was part of the reason that we decided to stay another night instead of moving on with our trip.

The parking sign states a clearance of 6’6” and my suv is just over 6’1”. However the roof of my suv made contact with something in the parking area and I now have a dent and the paint is scraped. I emailed the hotel and called and have yet to hear back. That was December 29!! Other than that the stay was good. The lady at the front desk as very nice . The neighborhood is a little sketchy though.

The Thompson Hotel in Kamloops,BC is a hidden gem. Located conveniently downtown, they offer amazing prices and the amenities are the best in town. Pool, Hot Tub, Arcade, Theatre, etc. Can not rave about this place enough!! Family friendly but also great for solo and couples!! Thank you!

I didnt like how i couldn't even check in for my sister and neice being the account holder and authorizing my credit card for the incidentals and payment and being told its not allowed if im not staying there with her at that exact moment. The hotel is on the older side but looks clean and the staff was very helpful. The room was clean and comfy. Good find for the price!
