What a great getaway!! We live in orlando and Next time we will stay longer than just a weekend!!
The rooms were just what we needed with the little kitchen! We also took advantage of the outside grills! Loved the beach, loungers and pools!! We will be back for sure!!
I loved the hotel, the view, the room, the pool, the grounds. All excellent. The only problem we had was our room was next to the road and the traffic was hard to fall asleep to and it woke us up around 6am - 7am every morning. We recommend requesting a room further off the main road, which they have many. Also we recommend going grocery shopping and bringing food to your room because restaurants are a bit of a drive away. There is an Italian restaurant next door, but it's not really want you want to eat in The Keys.
This hotel was clean and the air conditioner worked well. Those are two things I wanted for a July vacation in the Keys. The pool was great and the beach area was clean. The hotel is dated but they have started to do a complete remodel that they said would be done around the first of the year. The room/unit was huge and basically an apartment with a living room, kitchen and bedroom. The downside was that there were not any food or drink options on the property. They said they will be building a bar and restaurant with the remodel.
The room was clean and had a nicely stocked kitchenette. Comfortable beds and cold air conditioning made the stay enjoyable for the family. The hotel itself is old but the staff have kept it up as well as could be expected. The grounds and pool were clean and well maintained. The staff were OK, but seemed to be preoccupied when I was asking questions at check-in. That might seem petty but it was the only interaction I had with the staff.

We stayed in the cottage which was the most expensive and the only room advertised on Expedia. There were other rooms available but not advertised. They charged an extra $30 for an additional child although I said there would be three in the cottage. Overall the place was nice.
