“Would recommend”
This hotel, while a little out of the was, is accessible and beautifully located. It's got a fabulous hill setting, with gorgeous views of the water and Sant' Angelo. The room was large (we requested a double, but the room had a queen, twin, and a futon. As usual in Italian hotels, the bathroom isn't a place you want to linger, but fine. The balcony/deck was huge and had an amazing view! There are two pools, one thermal, one regular. The staff (family) was incredibly nice and made you feel right at home. Breakfast was wonderful and much more than the usual cornetto - multiple homemade breads and tortes, yogurt, meats and cheeses, caffe and juices, etc. My friend and I also chose to eat dinner at the hotel. It was delicious - four courses for only 15 Euro - you can't beat that! Also, shuttle is offered to take you to the bus stop at the top of the hill - a bit of a walk. On a nice day, if you are in decent shape, not a bad walk, but does take some time. Overall - a wonderful stay!
“Cannot wait to return”
The best little hotel in Ischia. If you are looking for the island's best views then book a "Deams" room. You won't be disappointed. The hotel is more remote than some on Ischia but exactly what we were looking for. Only a short walk from the natural seawater hotsprings and the hotel pools have the same mineral water pumped in . The hosts were fabulous and helpful and the food made on the premises and served overlooking the sea, were delicious and reasonably priced. The pool area could use a bit of maintenence but that didn't bother us as the view and the flowers made up for it. Buses are easy to navigate or rent a scooter to get around the island. We enjoyed every moment here.
“Good hotel, but...”
This family run hotel had lots of pluses and several minuses. It is a little out of the way, especially if you don't have your own car, but it is only a short walk from a small, beautiful, rocky cove with hot springs and it has spectacular views of San Angelo. The owners will drive you to the bus stop on the main road. The rooms are clean, but nothing out of the ordinary except for the views. The breakfast, included in the price, was good, but the food coming out of the kitchen for lunch and dinner was wonderful and reasonably priced. The worst thing about it was the pool area: all three were extremely dirty and covered with mold. I hope they clean and maintain these for future guests because they would be a real asset.
“Fantastic hidden gem”
We spent a week at Torre San't Angelo last year and enjoyed it so much that we went back for a fortnight this year. The location is a little off the beaten track down a narrow road but the views from the rooms and the dining area are nothing short of spectacular. This is a family run hotel that clearly prides itself on providing the best, friendliest service possible. Everybody at the hotel bends over backwards to make sure that you have everything and anything you could want. Simple and delicious local cuisine is served in the evenings(which is very good value!). There's also a pizzeria at the top of the road called 'Il Ritrovo' that is well worth a visit. The room was bright, well equiped and had a lovely view of the sea from the window (without us even requesting a sea view). Several of the other rooms and appartments have balconies that overlook the sea as well. As well as the normal temperature pool, the hotel has a thermal pool and a warm jacuzzi that allowed you to continue to enjoy swimming even after the sun has started to fade.
“Nice Hotel!”
Good food, great views from both the room and the dining terrace and very friendly staff. The hotel is only a 10 minutes walk away from the small village of Panza where there are restaurants and minimarkets and 30 minutes away from the lovely village of Sant'Angelo. Recommended!
“A great place to get away from it all”
For food, views and service you can't fault the this hotel. We were on the half board option and loved every meal of our 5 day stay. It is a real bonus not having to look for somewhere to eat and working out the menu! The terrace overlooks Sant Angelo and the views are a rare bonus. The hotel is a bit out of the way but the shuttle service is usually on demand. Getting around the island is time-consuming generally so worth not trying to pack a lot of sightseeing into your trip and just enjoy relaxing by the pool or Sant Angelo beach. Italy is pricey but so worth it!
“Lovely place, great views, warm service”
My family highly enjoyed our stay at this lovely family-run hotel. We booked an ocean view room which was spacious, clean and comfortable and the view was amazing. We paid for half board and we were also very impressed with the food. Breakfast was buffet style with a large array of pastries, cereals, cheese, fruit, hard boiled eggs, coffee, tea, and juice that you can squeeze yourself. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The only downside is that we tended to overindulge! The dinners were also delicious. Every morning after breakfast the owner consulted with us about the dinner selections, and made adjustments for us based on our preferences. The dinners consisted of first course, main course, salad, and dessert and were among the best dinners on our trip throughout southern Italy. I especially loved the pasta with clams. And the heated thermal pool and spa were wonderful to relax in at night. Overall a wonderful stay.
“soggiorno incantevole”
“Hotel Torre Sant'Angelo”
“Into the island”
