“They saved my holiday...”

I stupidly left my camera bag in the hotel restaurant, then checked out. I only found this out when I got to the ferry at Picton. I phoned the hotel and they had it couriered to my final destination. Further, they had packaged it very safely, so there was no danger of damage to cameras and equipment. Thank you hotel staff and the good Samaritan! The hotel was spotless and the room well appointed. My only quibble - and this is aimed at all hotels - was that they use feather pillows. Not great for allergy sufferers. The hotel is located in a perfect location for anything you want to do in and around Christchurch thanks to it being just yards from Cathedral Square. Parking is easy as there is a multi-storey car park attached to the hotel. NZ$24 a day valet parking and you can drive in and out all day, or NZ$18 for 24 hours from time of arrival if you just want to leave your car and see the city on foot.
