No Power no Stay Bad Manager

Pros: If I'd had a chance to get a good night's sleep, enjoy the pool, or the complimentary breakfast I'm sure I would have enjoyed all of them but didn't.
Cons: The general manger needs to really think about how her demeanor, lack of customer service skills, and her obstinance affects the customer.
I arrived at the hotel about 4:30 and checked in, and everything was fine until the power went out in the entire hotel at around 9:30. I walked to the front desk and asked for an update and was told there was a power outage in the area due to a traffic accident, and no information on when the power would be back on. After about an hour of sitting in a completely dark room I walked to the front desk with my baggage and let them know I was checking out and wanted a refund. The front desk clerk informed me he couldn't do that and I requested the manager be called. She informed me that she couldn't guarantee a refund based on the fact that it wasn't the hotels fault the power went out. I requested a handwritten receipt that I was leaving, the reason I was leaving and that I had returned the keys. Again I was denied this. The next morning I was informed by the general manager that I would not be receiving a refund, that I had been abusive to the front desk staff (untrue) and that because of this my case was closed by your customer service rep and was told I'd receive a $25 gas card for the inconvenience. Unbelieveable.

Hockey weekend in Andover

Stayed here as it was the most affordable option in Andover Mass. Nothing special, but a clean room,and friendly staff. Convenient to the rinks.

Pros: The hotel staff was great. The continental breakfast was good.
Cons: No smoking 100 feet or more from the building.
Location: Right off the highway. We left early the next morning so I don't know what is nearby.
I walked into the hotel lobby around 8:30 Fiday night and one reservation peron was dealing with a drunk man in a bathing suit who wasnt staying at the hotel and wanted to swim in the pool. The other reservation person was trying to check in another inebriated person who's credit card and bank card did not work and cash was accepted so they went all the way through the check in and the guest didn't have a working credit card for incidentals so he was finally tolld he couldn't stay at the hotel. There was a policeman in the lobby who also patrolled the parking lot which allowed me to feel my car wouldnt broken into. There were a lot of young people hanging around outside smoking. The people in the room above us were partying until 3am. Lots of jumping and banging. And there was something wrong with the coffee maker so no coffee first thing in the morning.

My experience was okay until we were rudely awoken at 9:45 am to knocking when check out was at 12 AND THEN after the knocking someone opened the door while it was locked so it had to of been the staff. Thankfully we had the extra lock on that didn't allow them to come in. When I got up to look out in the hallway whoever it was had taken off quick. Really wasn't happy, and when I went to check out the front staff was too tied up on the phone for me to bring it to their attention and I had to get going. Overall I didn't feel safe there.

Great hotel....poor management at night

I was coming from maine (1:30am) with my 12 yr old son on the verge of feeling ill I thought to book a hotel at the BW in Haverhill. At this time of the morning...to me and my clock the date was the so I booked it online. When I arrived at the hotel (2:30 am) I was informed that the hotel is still operating on the 23rd so I couldn't get into my room until 3 pm later. I explained to the night manager my situation that I booked the room assuming that 1:30 am was the following day and I needed to get my son to bed she told me to come back at 3 pm. So at this point I couldn't cancel my reservation nor could I get into the room (until 3 pm). So I had to go to a Holiday Inn 15 min away to get in a hotel. Then go back to the BW to stay in a room I didn't need at this point but couldn't cancel or get into....I will never return to this property as long as this woman works there

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Everything.
The room smelled musty; the bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the pillows were flat. The room was not cleaned on the second night we were there, and when we complained to management we only received an apology.

Dated hotel

My family stayed at this hotel overnight. The general areas and hallways were dated. They need a update. The hallways near the pool smelled like chlorine very strong. The pool was not up to today's standards. The room was clean. Nothing special about it. The breakfast "room" was very tight and crowded. The breakfast was on the lower side of hotel complimentary breakfasts. Would I come back? Not likely. There are too many other hotels out there.

Location: À côté du train de banlieue pour se rendre à Boston!
Très bien et nous aimerions y retourner. Nous avons adoré notre expérience!
