“Nice Hotel”
Located in Dartmouth, local transportation to Halifax was close by, good service in hotel, very quiet
“Clean rooms”
The rooms were spacious and clean with good quality products. The bed was super comfie and of course the choice of pillows is always something I look forward to from Holiday Inn. I found the location awkward to get into. I was supposed to get a Harbour view however it was minimal and I was quite disappointed with that. I did ask to be moved to a higher floor to get the view but the hotel was very busy that day. My biggest complaint was I requested a bowl and spoon and was told that room service would charge me 2.95 to bring it....seriously? Pros: clean and well kept, could get a good view if you are lucky, good location to downtown Halifax. Cons: difficult to get into, cannot leave the windows open if there are any smokers in the area as they smoke near the building (generally an issue for many hotels, not just this one).
“Great hotel!!”
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Halifax Harbourview after spending a day driving through Nova Scotia. It was easy to find on the GPS and we loved crossing the large bridge over to the hotel. The room was clean and I especially loved the pool. It is an outdoor pool and stays open until 9 at night. I arrived late and the fellow kept the pool open late for me so I could have a quick swim. I really appreciated that after being in the car driving all day long. Check in and out was quick and easy. the hotel was full but not noisy at all. Would definately recommend it to people travelling. Nice big parking lot out front which was included in the fee as well as free internet in the room.
“Very convenient location, good price”
We stayed in Dartmouth because it cost at least $30/night to cross the harbour to a Halifax hotel - and way more than that to be so close to the water! The rooms aren't big, but they've been recently upgraded. Sure, the bathroom tile is dated, but ours was in perfect repair, was super clean and had a great shower head. We didn't have a vehicle, but it's at the foot of the very cool MacDonald (sp?) bridge and a nice little walk to the ferry terminal where you can cross straight to the heart of Halifax Harbour for $2.25! We needed to send and receive several faxes, the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating and there was no charge. The restaurant is good, too; better food and value for dinner than for breakfast.
“Excellent Location and Service”
I stayed four nights at the Holiday Inn Halifax - Harbourview while attending a conference in the adjoining Conference Centre. The hotel was clean, well managed, comfortable, and convenient. The staff were knowledgeable and very helpful. The restaurant was a bit pricey, but provided excellent food, again with great service. I would definitely stay at the Holiday Inn Halifax -- Harbourview next time I am in the Halifax-Dartmouth vicinity.
“Good place”
Recommend this hotel. Satff is very friendly, dining menu is good.
“Best deal in Halifax/Dartmouth!”
Better than expected, and the location to the ferry and other amenities was exceptional. Didn't need to get back in the car once we checked in.
“Nice stay”
Nice Holiday Inn but an older one.
“Great Hotel Just 10 Minutes From Ferry To Go To Halifax”
Hotel lobby was very nice and clean and we got it for a good price. I travelled with my sister and her husband. We all thought the rooms were very roomy and the beds were great to sleep on and also you had a choice of firm or soft pillows, which was a great feature. Tv worked and the bathrooms were a good size. The staff that checked us in and out were very friendly and a special thanks to Kim who helped us out with directions to Peggys Cove and directions to other sites.
“definitely a pleasure”
The Hotel was lovely, sparkling clean lovely beds and lots of pillows to choose from a definite plus. Next time we are in the area we would stay there again. The only surprise was the fee for parking in their lot which is probably not unusual although that was the first time is our travels that we were charged a hotel parking fee.
