“Ignore negative comments would certainly book this hotel again.”

Very satisfied with this hotel. Rooms of a good standard and cleaned every day. Our room had a fridge and microwave and had recently been refurbished. Free breakfast - bacon, eggs and toast which is ample. Swimming pool and hot tub great after being out all day. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel and there are three buses which run regularly. Staff helpful and friendly. Next door to the hotel there is a Tim Hortons, a Needs grocery store, a pizza place and the Parkside Grill. Conveniently located for Dartmouth Crossing, Mic Mac Mall etc. Cannot understand bad comments as we would definitely book this hotel again.

“Great motel, friendly staff, clean and new renovated. Pool is great also! Would stay here again.”

Great motel, great staff, clean and spacious. Newly rennovated rooms. New pool. There is no elevator, but it's only 2 floors, so it's not a big deal. They have drive up rooms and also inside motels rooms.

“Not Impressed”

Staff were not very friendly as we asked expedia to book us in for early check-in and front desk told us that was not possible unless we wanted to book into a separate building. We were also told the rooms were just redone, did not look like it to us. Rooms were not cleaned well(hair in bathtub and dirt on floors). Pool towels were tiny and I told hotel staff the steps into the hot tub were very slippery and that I had fallen into the hot tub,they did not even inquire if I was OK. Breakfast was free but not good(eggs were tough, bacon under cooked and sitting in an inch of grease, we were almost done eating when we got our coffee). Air conditioner in our room did not work.The only good thing was when we checked out it was very easy as we had booked with expedia so we were on our way in minutes.

“Just OK”

Air condition is too loud. Have to turn the unit off when sleeping. No fridge in the room. Poor Internet connection.

“not impressed”

the smell of smoke in the hallways , stairwells and rooms of the non -smoking areas was bad. the so called free breakfast was a joke. One server in the breakfast area, all tables dirty one morning, another morning server couldn't get the simplest order straight.

“Need a new waiter or I never go back”

Room was ok, indoor pool is shutdown early due to the weather condition. Those are fine. But the breakfast service was the worst one I ever seen. The breakfast was served even after some ppl after us. Waiter was not nice at all. I leave no tips at all.

“Very Nice and Clean Hotel...Will Go Back!!!”

Hotel is very clean and staff is very friendly. The restaurant on site is alittle expensive. I like the complementary eggs and breakfast breakfast. Front desk very helpful and nice. Location is not that good. Good thing Tim Horton's is next door. Will definitely come back to this Hotel when I return to Nova Scotia.

“easy peasy and the bartender is wonderful”

Easy access to the bridge, friendly staff, food and hospitality in the bar second to none. Rooms comfy but pillows a bit smallish. Much cheaper than staying downtown Halifax and yet so close. Would definitely recommend.

Area recommendations

Downtown Dartmouth is surprisingly vibrant, with a farmer's market and an excellent restaurant in MacAskill's. Take the pedestrian ferry across the harbour and you're at the Citadel.
