Friendly service

We were very impressed with Totts and enjoyed everything there was on offer. Matilda, Hanna and Joseph were exceptional and made us feel like celebrities! Wonderful bikes, pool, deck area, water frontage, laundry and food! I was a bit sad not to have a coffee machine in our room. And what about the Swedish sauna? Anyway, can't complain as everything else was amazing. Thanks very much and we will return. Susan and Greg from Belgium

Great choice in Visby

Posted 15-Aug-2013
Location: Within 15 minute walk from Visby. By car would be no time, but if there with good weather, walk the road along the coast.
Great hotel just off the water and within walking distance of Visby. We stayed in one of the bungalows and it was excellent. Well kept and comfortable. These are basically small houses, great living room and master bedroom, nice 2nd bedroom with bunk beds. Small kitchen if u care to use it including a small oven. Outdoor porch with table/chairs. Staff very friendly and helpful. Maybe the only negative thing about these rooms is that you won't want to leave and see Gotland! :). Easy to recommend this one.

Wonderful hotel close to historical sites

Pros: The restaurant on the beach serves good meals at reasonable prices.
Location: Visby is an interesting historical town. We rented a car with the help of the hotel staff and saw parts of southern and northern Gotland. We also vi
Spacious, lovely room overlooking the Baltic. Beautiful decor. Helpful, attentive staff. Swedish hospitality at its best.

A very nice surprise - would stay again for sure!

Pros: Internet reliability, the large and quiet room.
Cons: No in-room safe, little to no shelves in the bathroom.
Location: Quiet and away from the city. Might be a bit if a challenge for some people to walk to/from Visby. Taxis and rental bikes are available.
We were quite pleased with this hotel. It took us about 35 minutes to walk to it from the ferry terminal. We had a bit of luggage to wheel along. With just a backpack, one could likely walk it in 20-25 minutes. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the walled city of Visby. The room was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Included were a microwave, stove top (no oven), a fridge, dishwasher and a good assortment of pots, pans, dishes and cutlery. Because we like to do our own cooking, this was a great advantage. There is a grocery store that is a 5-10 minute walk away, as well as a much larger one in Visby. The room was typical Swedish design with a separate bedroom away from the cooking area and dining/living room. We had a balcony on both sides of the room and there was a an outside table and chairs available for dining and watching the waves down on the shore. This room was a "standard" category . . . there are separate cabins/bungalows for larger groups. Staff were pleasant and informative. A complementary breakfast was included. Contrary to some other reviews, we found the breakfast to be very good. There was a wide assortment of hot and cold food that should satisfy any palate. For the technically minded visitors, the WiFi is 10 Mb/sec upload and download, making Internet access quite fast and efficient. The room also has a flatscreen TV and a CD player. Highly recommended to everyone!

Great Hotel in a great location

Posted 11-Jun-2013
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Nothing that I can think of.....
Location: The walled city of Visby is like a postcard town. Bike along the shore and explore the old town. Be sure to also go to the harbor.
Had a wonderful stay at the Tott hotel. Great location. Wonderful staff, especially Josef. Can easily walk or bike along the shore to the walled city which is the main attraction. Visby is a wonderful place to visit - the town is like a postcard. I would recommend people rent bikes to get around and Tott rents out bikes. The hotel also has some sea front property where you could have a small party if you wish. All in all, one of my best holidays.

Absolutely recommended!!

Pros: Rooms, facilities, view!
Cons: Lack of room service options, but not that big a deal.
Location: 5 minute drive/20-25 minute walk to Visby town centre. Right across the road from the Baltic Sea.
I absolutely loved my stay at the Tott hotel and plan to return. Fantastic free and FAST wifi hotel wide, inclusive standard breakfast offered in downstairs area (which would also be great for working in during the day), free parking. The room I stayed in... Impeccable, spacious, typically streamlined and clever Swedish design, comfy beds, great pillows, everything you could want and more. I stayed in one of the rooms with the small kitchenette - it was well equipped and I used it a lot, especially since the room service is pizza that they order from a local place - if you are trying to eat healthily, I'd recommend going out or picking up supplies from one of the local supermarkets and cooking for yourself (staff can give you directions to grocery stores). All the rooms have ocean views out to the Baltic Sea, and it was the most amazing thing to open the curtains in the morning to such eye candy. The sun sets over the ocean and can be enjoyed from your own balcony. Staff were courteous and friendly. I plan to visit again and will definitely stay at the Tott!!
