“beautiful.laid back,worth the extra drive”

we did not know what to expect, but were breathless at our room. All the way up on the 11th floor we had a huge wraparound balcony with stunning views of the bay ,beach, surrounding little islands.we watched dolphins cavorting in the bay below. This is a little fartherup, maybe 10 minutes, but worth it.It is an unplugged, restorative delight.

“Very nice hotel”

Suite with sofa bed and kitchen was very nice. The balcony overlooked the water, and we often saw dolphins. Continental breakfast was good. Pool great. The only thing that would have made this better would be if it was directly on the gulf. Short drive to Lovers Key State Park.

“Perfect, start to finish”

Friendly staff, great location (beach, but no crowds), and a breathtaking view. Very clean, quiet rooms with everything you could want, including fully stocked kitchens. Our best vacation ever.

“Hoping to return every year!”

We went for our honeymoon and had an absolutely wonderful time. It's all we can think about since we have been back. If your looking to be out and about there is plenty of things to do near by, and if your ready to relax this is a great place to do it! Great place, great staff, very clean and Flipper's, right there next to the pool, not a huge menu of choices but what ever you choose it will be delicious. We spoke with another couple there who also are equally pleased and return each year.

“Amazing views of preserve area and birds”

The staff was so friendly, especially Andy who kindly upgraded my family to a slightly bigger room with a sunset view for my aged parents. The view of the Lovers Key state park was beautiful. I saw many Osprey, but the icing on the cake was on our last morning when a pair of Bald Eagle parents brought their fledgling eaglets out for a fishing lesson. AMAZING. Will definitely go back.

“Great weekend stay!”

Hotel was very nice. The accomodations were very nice and comfortable. The view from the room was great. Staff very accomodating and friendly. There is not a beach at resort, but many beaches close by. Would recommend highly for a nice weeked get away.

“Add this one to the list to consider...”

Lover's Key Resort is off the beaten path just south of Fort Myers Beach, across the street from a public access Gulf Shore beach, and just north of a beautiful state park. Room sizes are good for 4 or smaller with all amenities provided. The pool was warm and located between a great outdoorsy eatery and bar and a beautiful bay. It was pretty easy to ride the Trolley into town for supplies, so a rental car is not absolutely necessary. People are friendly and we felt very safe. My only wish would have been for more cable TV stations--cartoon network and Nicolodean for kids.

“Excellent, Private, Secluded Location”

If you are looking for a hotel with quiet, serene, and most of all beautiful views and location this is for you. The views on the bay side of the hotel (at least from the 11th floor) are spectacular. Dolphins and shorebirds, pelicans and manatees playing, just wonderful. The on site bar/eatery (flippers) is nice but a bit pricey for everyday dining. Only continental breakfast available at the hotel so be sure to take advantage of the full kitchen and save some money. A bit of a drive to the main areas of Ft. Myers beach and the resterants/bars by the pier but plenty close if you have a rental car. Pinchers Bar is the closest to the hotel and a great place for happy hour peel and eat shrimp and a few brews. All and All a 5 star experience.

“We loved the resort and the warm weather.”

We loved our suite and the view of the manatees, dolphins, and sting rays. The breakfast buffet needs to include yogurt and some kind of protein, like soft boiled eggs and bacon or ham. My husband was very upset about the women who watched every one at breakfast like we would take an extra muffin or something.
