“Key West Comfrort Inn”

“Value for dollar”

On key west far distance from duvaul st where the action & night life is but i am in walking so it only took me say 1 or 1.5 hr to walk and also catch the sights or you can also arrange a trolly or cab it .Good bang for the buck. the breakfest was also good which was included in your stay.

“Good price specially if you are in Key West”

The hotel needs to upgrade appliances (old tv), change carpets (very dirty), small bathrooms... and very noisy.

high prices for the food everywhere, but you still can go to Outback and get good service and same prices as any other cities.

“Know how many days you're staying”

Hotel would not refund us for checking out one night early. We had to travel back to Miami to catch our flight and left one night early. Hotel would not work with us at all.

“Inexpensive hotel for Key West”

The hotel is really inexpensive, and the money you hae to spend for parking is less than the difference to the cheapest downtown hotel. Moreover the hotel offers a heated and large pool.

“Stains”

Room was disgusting! There were stains on the bedspread and stains on the sheets! Staff was nice and accommodating, but condition of room at check in was really poor. Also, walls were paper thin. We could hear the people upstairs all night long. I don't know how this hotel was rated 3 stars...

“Nice, Comfortable place to stay.”

Not a fancy place by far, but comfortable and clean. It's not close to downtown and Duval street though, you'll have to rent a car or pay outrageous taxi fares to get anywhere. Not close to major attractions or beaches, either. But all in all, a fairly nice place to stay. My advice is to rent a car and drive up through the Keys while you"re there! Excellent continental breakfast, I've never seen that much food on a continental breakfast counter! Be sure and say hello to bartender Stephanie, she's the greatest! Nice, friendly staff. I will be staying there again!

Area recommendations

If you're a beachgoer, I recommend Higgs Beach and the beaches up the Keys such as Sombrero Beach in Marathon Key, and Bahia Honda Beach near Big Pine Key. Smathers Beach is overrated and was under a health warning while we were there ( smelled of raw sewage). And of course, you Have to visit Duval Street and Mallory Square! It is also well worth the extra $ if you can swing it, to take the ferry to The Dry Tortugas- Jefferson National Park and see the fort ruins/ snorkel.

“Good place to hang your hat”

Was only in Key West one night but this hotel fit the bill. Old but with the basic needs, it's a good family hotel. If you are looking for luxury this is not it.

“Great value in Key West”

This was our (me and my girlfriend) second time at the Comfort Inn Key West. We've repeated and may do so again in the future because it offers reasonably comfortable rooms (it's a Comfort Inn, you should know what to expect), clean rooms and amenities, great service, and good rates (for Key West, everything's relative). I highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a clean and comfortable room at a reasonable rate to sleep and shower in when not doing everything else Key West has to offer. The hotel also offers complimentary breakfast every morning (we've never taken advantage of it though), a nice pool area with a great little bar that also serves good food, has a Denny's on-site for when everything else is closed, and free parking. The only real drawback, in our opinion, is that it's not located in Old Town, where all the action is. It's located on the quieter end of the island which some may prefer. But, being in Key West, you're just a short, relatively inexpensive cab ride away from Old Town anyway. If you want something in the middle of all the action and with more upscale amenities then you'll be much better off looking elsewhere, but be prepared to pay a whole lot more. For what the Comfort Inn offers it is a great value in Key West. Our only complaint is that on the last day of our trip the pool became a hang out for a considerable number of locals not staying in the hotel along with their rowdy children who overcrowded the small pool.
