5th floor 2 bed apartment centre of Florence

Posted 14-Sep-2014
Pros: Location, location and very helpful friendly staff
Cons: The air conditioning system was not very user friendly and was noisy.
Location: The location very central and most places of interest could be walked to e.g Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Vecchio, the Loggia del Bigallo, Duomo etc

Fantastic Accommodation and Location

Posted 11-Sep-2014
Pros: Location, value for money, welcome
Cons: a bigger lift and more powerful shower, but neither of which would put me off
Location: right in the heart of florence across from the infamous Rivoire cafe and round the corner from uffizi gallery and pallazo vecchio
I could not recommend staying here highly enough. Amazing location. Amazing facilities. Lovely welcome. You will be very pleased if you stay here.

Right on the Piazza

Posted 08-Sep-2014
Really nice views from our apartment and very clean. Elevator is the smallest I've ever seen but it works. Only negative is the restaurants around this area are a rip off due to the amount of tourist so eat in another area of town. Eg. 2 beers 1 pasta, 1 seafood salad: 50 euros......ouch.

Great Choice!

Posted 08-Sep-2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Difficult finding the hotel because its wooden door is sandwiched between two busy eateries and its only sign is a small etching on door transom
Location: This location is central to everything in historic Florence. No time wasted trying to get from point A to B.
Our first visit to Florence and the Relais Piazza Signoria made it a wonderful experience! Its location can not be beat. Right in the center, within easy walking distance to everything. The accommodations were very nice and well priced by Florence standards. Will definitely consider the Relais Piazza Signoria again if I am ever lucky enough to revisit Florence.

Good location, fair value depending on your needs

Posted 21-Aug-2014
Pros: Location Comfortable beds - softer than the average Italian mattress
Location: Uffizi is 100 yards away, Duomo a 5 min walk. But all of Florence is pretty small and walkable.
Quite expensive because you are getting a lot of space (these are apartments and much larger than the average Italian hotel room), a mini-kitchen, a larger bathroom than average. However you may not need these things unless you plan on spending lots of time in your room while on your Italy vacation. No breakfast though a welcome basket of crackers and soft drinks is included. Also be sure you understand which rooms actually have a view of Piazza Signoria - many do not (views of Fort Belvedere and Piti Palace are not of the Piazza featured prominently in the photos of this property).

Brilliant location with a great view. The beds were extra comfy too! On the expensive side of things though

Florence at the front door

Posted 18-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
Our stay at Relais Piazza Signoria was beyond our expectations. The location was perfect set within one of Florence's major piazzas and within easy walking distance of all of Florences attractions. Also located next to the UFFIZI and just round the corner from the Ponte Vecchio. Our room was located at the rear on the 5th floor which was quiet and provided roof top views of the Pitti Palace and Fort Belvedere. The apartment was in a contemporary design with a large living room and a kitchenette. The apartment would benefit from more drawer space. The large bed was very comfortable which allowed time to recharge batteries every night for each next days museums, churches, etc visits. We plan to return which we do not normally do but because the stay was so hassle free, relaxing and Florence has so much to offer one visit is not enough. The reception staff were very friendly and informative. 'Open the front door' to Florence's crowds & noise but it's worth it.

The location is truly fabulous. The view from the room stunning. Amazingly quiet since the room is on the Piazza Vecchio square. Staff were great. A must when we return to Florence. Bravi!

This is not a hotel- they are apartments! They are the most centrally located apartments you can find!!
