Couldn't ask for a better location.

The spacious apartment was comfortable but it looked liked it was still somewhat under construction as there were no towel racks or toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom and a few bare wires in the ceiling where light fixtures will eventually be placed. But these small drawbacks were more than offset by the hotel location which was right off one of Florence's main piazzas, the Piazza Signoria, home of the famous Uffizi Gallery. The hotel is also just a few minutes from the river and the Ponte Vecchio. From the hotel one could walk anywhere in Florence. The Piazza was also home to several good restaurants and an amazing chocolate shop.

Excellent stay in a center of piazza!

Pros: Location, spacious room, clean, friendly & professional staff
Cons: Update bathroom fixtures
Location: Restaurants, shopping, museums, many tourist attractions within walking distance
I stayed here for two nights from September 26-27, 2014. The location cannot be beat - it is located right at one of the larger Piazzas and was seconds from tons of restaurants, shopping and museums. The staff and customer service were fantastic and professional. I stayed in a deluxe queen size room with separate kitchen. They provided soda and juice for free which was a nice gesture. The room was very spacious and clean. For the price paid though, I wished the bathroom was a bit more updated. It was comfortable and fine, but it was not as modern as I had hoped. The kitchen was well appointed and small, and we didn't need to use it much. This is a B&B type accommodation, so don't expect comprehensive concierge services like room service - there is no food service here but you don't need it because you can literally step outside the front door and are greeted with many eateries. Overall, I would highly recommend and wished I had stayed longer in Florence. - C.N.

Spacious, beautiful apartment in a great spot!

We absolutely adored everything about the Relais Piazza Signoria! The location could not have been more perfect! Being right on the piazza, everything was within a 5 minute (or less) walk...it was perfect! Our room was incredibly spacious - it was the biggest place we ended up staying in all of Italy (and a way better price than some of the small hotels). We had a kitchen with a fridge stocked with all sorts of free drinks, there was a gift basket with snacks and teas and coffees on our dining room table when we arrived, and there was a pull-out murphy bed in the living room The bathroom was so nice - obviously recently updated. The bedroom was spacious with a huge comfy bed, big flat-screen tv on the wall, and a huge window overlooking the Piazza. We each had our own closet, which was nice. The view was incredible - definitely try to book a room with a view if you can. It is so fun to people-watch from your room...we felt like we could relax in our room without feeling like we were missing out on the fun of the city. I read previous reviews that said the rooms overlooking the piazza were very loud - it's true, but only if you leave your window open. With our window closed, we couldn't hear a thing (other than the bells from the Palazzo Vecchio). Those are some serious noise-blocking windows! Like I said, we absolutely loved this place. Everything about it was fabulous, I would go back in a heartbeat!

Excellent!

This hotel was excellent. It's literally in the shadow of the Palazzo Vecchio and a 5 minute walk to most of what you'll want to see in Florence. It was modern and cozy and we were able to make a nice dinner in with fresh Italian ingredients. Their lobby hours are fairly inconvenient and that's the only minor complaint I had.

Comfy beds, perfect location. Stay here!

Posted 06-Nov-2014 on Hotels.com
This was by far our best hotel in Italy! It was a little pricey, but well worth it. The "room" is actually an apartment, but with the perks of a hotel. There is an elevator in the building, and the rooms have 1 1/2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room/sitting area, and a breakfast area. The beds were so comfortable and had fluffy duvets and soft sheets. A comfortable bed is much needed after making the climb to the top of the Duomo! :) There were even closets.. gasp! The location is PERFECT. Stay here; you will not regret it. (But stay away from the gelato place to the right of the entrance to the hotel and the restaurant to the left of the entrance. Both were awful.)

Relais Piazza Signoria - great location!

Posted 26-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
Relais Piazza Signoria has an absolutely great location for exploring old Florence by foot, as it is right on the Piazza Signoria, across from Rivoire, which serves the best hot chocolate. Getting entry on arrival can be difficult, as there is nothing but an address and a key code on the outside of this small apartment-hotel. The elevator is no more than 30 inches wide, but it does save you from stairs if you have bad legs, although it works oddly at times. The rooms are clean and adequate and the windows are dual paned, which sounds proof the room from the busy square, but the windows also open letting you enjoy the square activities. This is an excellent value for the location.

This was more an apartment than a hotel as from 6pm there was no service. The excelent location and view was worth it

Rooms are different

Posted 18-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
It is in the middle of everything! Location is perfect and it was super clean. The only thing was that my friends got an amazing room with view and nice decorations while I got an "ok" hotel room with some light fixtures missing, walls needed paint and no view for the same price. Maybe if you can pick a specific room then it would be perfect! Great location, clean and some rooms are amazing!

If your bedroom faces the Piazza, you will be kept up by people talking loudly in the restaurants downstairs until 3 am. Suggest using an earplug for a better night sleep. Other than that, the location is excellent, the staff are really friendly and the units are quite roomy and clean.
