Perfect location for enjoying Florence

Posted 14-Dec-2014
Pros: Location and very helpful staff
Cons: Breakfast and beds
Location: Excellent location, close to everything you might want to see or do, whether sight seeing, eating, or just watching the world go by
This is the fourth occasion i have stayed at this hotel and as always it provided an excellent base for a short visit to Florence, the staff on the whole are the same people who I met when i stayed there four years ago, which is a really good indicator of the management of the hotel, the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Thanks to Expedia VIP, we were upgraded to a wonderful room where we could see the tower of the Palazzo Vecchio, the bathroom was fabulous and it was amazingly quiet, we heard little noise from outside, one downside the bed was a bit on the firm side, not that it stopped me sleeping, but having reached a certain age i did wake up a bit achey, the other comment i would like to make is the breakfast although plentiful and covering most tastes on the uncooked side, the cooked offerings were the same every day and the eggs were always just a little to rubbery to really enjoy, in fact despite the breakfast being complimentary we had breakfast out one day to have variety. As i said this is the fourth time i have been in this hotel and despite these small negatives I would recommend it to anyone looking for an ideal location for exploring Florence.

Nice hotel, central to all you need in Florence

Posted 01-Dec-2014
Pros: Breakfast, Cleanliness
Cons: Softness of the bed
Location: Every major tourist attraction is within a 5-10 min walk and that is hard to say for any other hotels.
An absolutely beautiful hotel with a great staff. The only problem I would say was that the beds were hard as a rock, but I don't believe that is uncommon in Italy. Great time though!

Couldn't have asked for a better location. Although in the thick of it, the hotel was quiet. Absolutely great!

Comfortable hotel in a convenient central location

Posted 05-Sep-2014
Pros: We liked the central location, the friendly staff, the breakfast and the layout/size of the room.
Location: The hotel is very close to the Duomo and very near to the main shopping area in Florence.
We had a lovely time staying in this hotel. It had everything we needed and was well-equipped in the room. We were pleased that the hotel was so central and therefore, easy to get to the key attractions. Although it was central, it wasn't too noisy and we slept well. The breakfast was good and there was a wide range of choice.

Perfect

Hotel is at a top location in the city, its a bit hard to reach due to all the one way traffic streets and the no car areas (unless you have to be there) so my car set has a lot of trouble getting me there and out again. The hotel is great, well maintained, clean and has friendly Englisch speaking staff. My room was good and clean with a comfortable bed. Bathing and toilet facilities were great with plenty of room. The room could use some more electrical outlets to charge mobiles and tablets (had to plug out a lamp). Breakfast is standard continental.

Hotel Pierre was recommended to us by friends. It is a fabulous hotel in a great location. Walking distance to all we needed to see in a few days. Also great bars and restaurants close. Highly recommended

The hotel is quite dated particularly the bathrooms The breakfast was not great, quality of pastries, bread and cereals was poor.
