“fargo”
good experience
“Basic Hotel”
Extremely small room with few outlets for computer/cell phone use. Toilet leaked. The advertised king bed was more like a full size bed so it was barely big enough for two people. Below average breakfast area. We actually bought fruit from the grocery store instead of eating at their free breakfast. It is fine for the price, but not very comfortable. I will not stay here again.
“Fine for the time you spend in it”
Room was fine for the little time we were in it. Rooms were clean and the beds were fine, pillows were good too. Some maintance work required as our toilet keep running all night.
“Not for business”
Not a business hotel. There is no business center. No printer. No anything. Other than that great hotel for the money.
“Good value”
If you're looking for a less expensive alternative for a one-night stay in a convenient location, this is your best choice! I had to admit, I was a little leery of such an inexpensive option, but I really didn't have a choice as money was a little tight this month. I was going to Fargo-Moorhead for my alma mater's Homecoming this weekend, and needed a place for my wife and I to stay, but I didn't want to spend more than $75. However, she has certain standards that I didn't want to compromise either. When we arrived at 3 PM, the front desk had my reservation, the room was ready, and we could drop our stuff off right away. The room was clean, smelled a little musty, but was overall nice. The sink was not in a separate area, and the bathroom was very cramped. The beds were nice, fairly comfortable, but if you're taller than 6'6", don't expect keep your feet on. The TV was brand new, wall-mounted, and the channel selection was good. The wireless internet signal was poor in our room, which was right above the lounge. The continental breakfast was minimal, but they did have batter for waffles, donuts, cereal, bagels, etc. Overall, my wife and I would consider this a good way to spend one night and a good place to rest your eyes. If you're used to Holiday Inn or Marriott, don't plan on staying more than one night.
“Good price”
Friendly staff. Very spacious. Clean rooms. Small bathroom/ restroom. Breakfast area was dark.
“Internet issues in a 1990's style Motel 6-type hotel”
Motel internet signal was very weak--nonexistent most of the time. The motel was otherwise less than average but Okay enough if you had to stay there.
“Great Deal”
For the price it can't be beat. Friendly employees, clean rooms, quiet, comfortable beds, loved the lounge and Joanie was a great friendly bartender with lots of info on restaurants and shopping.
“The price was right.”
I didn't expect much more than a clean room and a working shower, both of which I got. Beds were surprisingly comfortable and continental breakfast was a nice touch. Traffic noise from the nearby freeway did bleed into the room (we were on that side of the hotel), but other than that, a very positive experience with a friendly pricetag.
“Not impressed at all”
I realize that I paid for a "standard" room, but I didn't realize that meant that it would be tiny and dirty. No coffee pot, no fridge, one bar of soap and one facecloth for my husband and I to share, small bed with stained sheets, only coat pegs in the wall to hang clothing, a toilet with no lid....what's up with that? The tub wasn't very clean, and I was hesitant to touch anything in the room. Luckily we were near an exit that had a big garbage can just outside the door, as the tiny one in our room wasn't big enough to hold much of anything. The nice modern exterior and front lobby are the best parts of this hotel. I thought the coffee urn and cups in the foyer were a nice touch until I headed there for a cup of coffee early in the morning, only to find a few drops of yesterday's left over coffee was all that was in the pot. The breakfast area was a mess within minutes of opening, and nobody ever came around to clean it up. I'll never go back to this place.
