“I'll go back - It's absolutely fine for a couple of overnights - don't come here to impress people.”

Hotel was easy to find, sufficient free parking. I turned up before the official check-in time and the friendly receptionist was happy to let me into my room early and give me the run down of where to eat and drink locally. The hotel isn't the easiest layout to navigate but once you've mastered it it's easy to find your way around. Surprise to me was the simple free breakfast which I didn't expect for the price. Although only a couple of blocks away from Downtown / Broadway there didn't seem too much going on in the town. People were friendly in the local businesses and made me welcome in their city. Second surprise of the night to me was the railroad I had seen running across Broadway earlier is in use and I awoken several times through the night by the sound of the trains and their horns. If only I had planned for this and packed earplugs this wouldn't have been an issue. The third surprise was there was a fitness room (small but adequate for me, three machines - a bike, a x trainer and a treadmill) in my corridor which I had to myself and used twice in my stay. Surprise four (I'm from the UK where we mostly still have to pay for wifi), the hotel had free wireless internet access. In summary, if you're looking for a really good value hotel with basic but all the amenities you need this is it. I cannot fault the hotel, only the train drivers. If you're trying to impress a partner or potential partner, this is not for you. For all other reasons to be in Fargo this place is.
