“Best hotel in Erie”

Avalon hotel in Erie Pa is a clean place and the location is wonderful. A lot of things are in walking distance. Comedy club, dining, bars and everything else. And it is just a few minutes from Presque Isle. Awesome vacation.

“Great Staff, changing neighborhood”

The hotel has underground parking...COOL...The hotel was clean, staff wonderful, and the neighborhood is changing - everything from a thrift store to a starbucks...It rocks, and the restaurant was great.

“Not Great”

Most of the hotel was closed, due to maintenance. Most of the things they advertise weren't open. There very few parking spaces. The veiw out the window is a brick wall.

Clean room, Desk help did a great job giving me directions. Maintenance came right up to unlock our bathroom door that my son locked. Very big and comfortable room. Off road free parking.

The stay here was very satisfactory and I would reccomend it to friends.

I recently had to travel to Erie for business and have stayed at several hotels in the area and most of them are nearly double the price paid at this hotel. I would not stay at any of them again due to the price. The avalon was clean, friendly, easy to check in and out, great free parking, on site restaurant and very nice lobby area. Don't bother with the other over priced hotels.

“I am going back to this hotel”

the stuff is nice, room was clean, the location is ideal, all the bars and clubs are very close and the lake is within minutes. We walked everywhere. Great place to stay, I was at first skeptical to book this hotel because when I read its reviews were not very good. Despite the bad comments I book it and I am very happy I did.

“Better than the Expedia rating”

At first, when I checked in, I thought, "this isn't really that bad!" The hotel is centrally located and uniquely decorated. All the amenities I needed were available and the bed was comfortable.

My key card worked- that was a miracle! Friendly clean and comfortable.

“Nice stay”

The hotel was nice and staff was courteous and helpful. The room was nice and clean. Beds were a little on the hard side. The air conditioning worked but it didn't get really cool. The parking garage where we could park for free was small and totally full for our entire stay so we had to park on the street. Overall though, it was worth the price.
