“When in Edmonton ...”
Great location, easy access to everything, Nosy trains if yu are at the back of the hotel
“Beware the Railway Tracks”
Great location, but our room looked over the railway tracks, so we were awakened by trains going by throughout the night. The rooms on the other side of the hotel face the street, but would probably be quieter. We also found the room quite warm and turning the thermostat down didn't seem to make much difference. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful and we chose this hotel primarily because of its location and the fact that it was pet friendly, as we were traveling with our dog. If we were staying for more than one night, we would have requested a room not facing the railway line.
“Great Price, Great Location!”
This hotel was a great deal and a good location to get to anywhere you wish to go in the city. There is also two restaurants on site, which is handy. The hotel is a little older, but was clean. The only complaint was the train tracks right behind the hotel, with trains going by at all hours, woke me up sometimes, because my room was at the back of the hotel.
“Served the purpose”
Overall, I was pleasantly staisfied with my experience at the Greenwood Inn; the room and bathroom were standard in desighn but clean and comfortable, the bed was very comfortable and you even get a complementary copy of the Glob & Mail at your doorstep every morning. It's easy to find, right on the main drag, a straight shot from the airport. The only real negatives are its location in front of busy train tracks (which you don't here with the widow closed) and the noisy air conditioner.
“More than adequate”
Good sized room. Convenient for south side. High speed internet was slow. Trains running during the night did not stop me sleeping.
“Good run of the mill hotel”
We stayed one night Oct 11 and overall would definitely stay at this hotel again. When we checked in the room we were given had not yet been made up, we called downstairs and were told to come down and they would give us another room, they had the keycard ready when we got down to the desk. Other than the slight mixup we had no complaints. The train was a bit noisy at night but that couldn't be helped by the hotel but may be good to know if you are a very light sleeper you may be woken up once or twice. The beds were very comfy and breakfast at the abc restaurant was very good. Nothing spectacular here but for the cheap rate we found we were very happy. The location was handy - we went to West Edmonton Mall and the Telus World of Science very easily from here.
“very nice”
Our hotel stay was very satisfying. The only complaint that we had was on our check out. When we checked in our desk clerk was very nice and professional but on our check out the clerk could not have been less impressive. She gave the impression that she really didn't want to be there. Otherwise I would recommend this hotel to anyone who asked.
“Good Business Class Hotel”
I got no surprises, the hotel is priced as it should be and did not fall short of expectations. I read previous revious before booking and was nervous about the rail track at the rear, our room was at the rear and I think we only heard one train over our stay and that was not loude enough to waken us. Restaurants could be better, typical run of the mill hotel fare, but good Greek place across the road. Good clean hotel, comfortable and pleasant staff.
“Train causes some problems”
There was a problem with the toilet, but staff fixed that problem very quickly and were very attentive. Also, the regular trains that run nearby are a deterrent to consistent sleep. Otherwise, the room was nice and very comfortable. It's a good location too. I would stay again.
“Feel like at home”
Great service and clean room. Be aware that there is a train rail behind the building and you will have a discomfort when the train passes in the middle of the night!! Otherwise, friendly staff and atmosphere.
