Our stay in Leith waterfront

Posted 27-Jul-2014
Pros: Nice enough location, Food & drink outlets near by. Bus stop 3 min walk. Free car parking.
Cons: One of the beds was very uncomfortable, The sink tap was very wobbley & needs re-fixing. The dish washer had been used but not emptied.
Overall it was just what we required & priced ok as well. there were however a few niggles. The lift was out of order on our arrival, but was back in service at end of day 2.

OK at $200 or less for a 2 bedroom

Posted 03-Jul-2014
Pros: Location, apartment size, parking, price (I got for well than $200)
Cons: Cleanliness, new mattresses, install a real dryer or remove advertising stating there is one,
Location: It's in Edinburgh, dude.
Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. While the apartment is spacious and well located for jaunts into Edinburgh, being right next to a bus stop, as well as being quiet and coming with secure parking, it is also "tired" below the surface (well worn carpets, broken down mattresses, floors visibly uncleaned under the furniture, dirty windows, etc), and cheap (faux wood floors). In addition, the booking advertised a dryer:this is inaccurate...the "dryer" is in fact the washer's "spin cycle"...I confirmed this with the hotel staff who stated "this is what all the apartments have". I have a hilarious photo of our clothes drying on an indoor clothes line.' Also, the elevator shaft/entrance of the parking garage obviously suffered water damage as there was a horrendous smell when entering the elevator foyer; it made my wife ill, so she would exit/enter the building as a pedestrian and I would pick her up/drop her off outside. I stay in apartments all the time for professional and family travel. I've stayed in 4 star apartments. This is not 4 stars as indicated on Expedia's site. That said, if you are on a budget and can get a 2 bedroom for $200 or less, it likely won't disappoint you.

Great Space

Posted 07-May-2014 on Hotels.com
Really liked the space, 2 bedroom apt. with washer and dry, ref, and microwave. Not sure why there was an extra 22 pound charge by the hotel, and we were not given the remote for the underground parking. Luckly we found street parking without charge. They really do need to get new mattresses, could feel the springs.

The views from the flat were great and it is a handy location if you have a car. Great for us - family of 5. Plenty of space and well appointed.

Basic serviced apartment

Posted 14-Apr-2014 on Hotels.com
This is not a Hotel, it is a range of serviced apartments within the Leith waterfront redevelopments. Only soap provided with clean towels, so bring own toiletries. Would serve as a good base for larger groups or longer stays

Better overall value/quality than the alternatives

Posted 02-Apr-2014 on Hotels.com
I stay here every week. I've tried every serviced apartment and holiday let Edinburgh has to offer and, as much as there are nicer ones and cheaper ones, these apartments provide the best combination.

Nice hotel

Posted 30-Mar-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Better TV and Blu-Ray player and better quality sofas
Location: Good base to move around with excellent bus access at reasonable prices. Supermarket close by for essentials and Ocean Terminal for restaurants
Great location, convenient bus service to centre of Edinburgh. Leave the car at the hotel and travel easily by bus. Best way to see Edinburgh. Clean, spacious flat with great views over the Firth of Forth and if you are lucky, Britannia over at Ocean terminal. We've been several times now and it's been great every time. Great base even if you want to cross over to Fife across the Forth Road Bridge.

Smart, comfortable and clean

Lovely modern apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Short taxi or bus ride into main centre and you can benefit from easy free parking and save a small fortune on city centre apartment or hotel to this high standard. Leith a 15 min walk away with many quality bars and restaurants. A lovely place to stay. (Don't forget photo ID required on arrival).
