“Can't wait to come back!”
We couldn't have asked for a better hotel for a better price. The room itself was spacious and very well maintained. The hotel staff was even better. From the workers at the reception desk to the waitresses in the dining room, we were welcomed and treated with the utmost respect. Anything we needed, whether it be directions or recommendations for dinner, they were able to help. The hotel is in an excellent area with many things to do and restaurants and shops nearby (not that you will need to go to any other restaurant....the food in the hotel restaurant is EXCELLENT!!) At the Arlington, you will be in walking distance to Trinity College, Dublin Castle, Guiness Warehouse, and so forth. If you're heading to Dublin, stay at this hotel!! Well worth the price.
“A little run down...”
Great location and staff however it could use a face lift - especially the bathrooms.
“Good Location”
The Arlington is in a good location - close to transport and walking distance to most tourist attractions. The Air Links bus stops right across the road and costs 6 euros from the airport. I had a third floor room so the music from the bar couldn't be heard. They have Irish music and dancing every night.
“Nice Hotel”
Good hotel, location excellent. Room was clean, a bit on the old side especially the bathroom but good value for money. Staff were friendly.
“Older hotel, great location!”
The hotel is in the perfect location to walk everywhere you'd want to go in Dublin. There are great restaurants and pubs within a 5 minute walk, the Storehouse and Trinity College are about a 10-15 minute walk, and you're IN Temple Bar! The hotel is older though and could use some new carpet, but for the price and location it's definately worth staying here!
“Very good hotel.”
Very good location. Great front desk people. Big room
“Decent”
Very good location obviously, room was ok for the money, very clean, could do with a bit of an upgrade. Bar downstairs was nice for a quiet drink in the day, and had a nice more lively atmosphere on the night. Plenty to see and do all in walking distance, including the Guinness storehouse which is about 20 minutes away. Too many good places to eat to mention really. Word of advice, be careful getting a taxi on a Sunday as they're double time
“Not Impressed”
over priced for the quality. Rooms were extremely small. No air conditioning. Only one of the two windows opened, and at night it was noisy due to a cocktail lounge below our windows
“Wonderful location.”
The location is fabulous - close to all the sights. The food in the restaurant was really good. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were great and eager to help. Don't miss the live show that plays nightly.
“Personality and Character at the Arlington”
This is a lovely little hotel in the heart of everything. Bathrooms are a wee bit small - actually, they're tiny; and the walls between the units are a little thin. However, we would - yes, absolutely - stay there again! The entire staff is just wonderful ... always smiling, always accommodating ... eager to be of service. The food in the restaurant was almost just like home (Texas) - we especially love their Irish Breakfast. The daily entertainment in the bar/restaurant is top notch. The Hop On Hop Off stand is right across the street, along with the Dublin Castle. It's easy walking to the Temple Bar area of Dublin; and it's just down the street from Trinity College. If you like a hotel with lots of personality and charm ... and you can overlook the creeky floors, tiny bathroom space and a little noise ... you'll love this Arlington Hotel.
