“Nice for your budget.”

The hotel is nice and clean. The showers is too small. Room service take too long. Make sure you bring your passport or you will not be able to check in. The hotel will not pick you up of you get lost going back. Tell the taxi driver it is the hotel behind the Dhow Palace not by Markol like they advertise on the net. But over all its is good place for a short stay. Recommeded.

“Good hotel; location a little bland”

The hotel was very good for the price. The staff was friendly and helpful to my special requests. The location was a little desolate, in a large block which consists mostly of hotels. On the periphery of the large block is a major high-end shopping mall (Berjuman), a minor mall, and a large grocery store. But these were catty-corner to the Jormond, and it was quite a walk in the heat, one I would not do for dinner each night. Fortunately the hotel had 24-hour room service, which was quite beneficial. I got lost for about an hour walking from the Berjuman to the Jormond due to the streets and buildings all looking alike, and due to the map printed on the back of the hotel's business card, which is misleading to say the least. At least Dubai streets in this area seem safe at night!

A great value hotel, don't expect 5 star though (or even 4), rooms are a little tired but clean, comfortable and quiet. The kitchen in the room is sparsley equipped but at least you have a kitchen. Restaurant food is much better than you get from most small hotels, the tuna salad was brilliant. It is the staff who really make the place, a bit like Fawlty Towers but only the nice side. Well done Eden for a brilliant job on reception.

“Nice neighborhood”

Remember to turn on and leave on the water heater, unless you enjoy cold showers. The area is great. An easy walk to the museum and Dubai creek, gold souk and everything is a little walk away. The hotel staff isn't the friendliest staff ever, but they get the job done and are ready to respond to guests' needs. The good is okay... hot and fresh at the very least. Don't take the private hotel taxi if you can help it. The regular taxis are much less expensive and as reliable.

Honestly.. this hotel was not bad at all! For anyone on a budget, it's more than decent! I did not spend much time in the room anyway but I had nothing to complain about.. Hotel employees were nice and anything I asked for they provided me with..

“Solid value for the money”

The room was very clean although there were a couple of lights that did not work. The electric kettle did not have an adapter for the receptacle. However, whatever we found that was lacking all it took was a call to the front desk and someone was up very quickly to have a look and to fix or provide. For instance, we asked for more cooking equipment and that was immediately delivered. Both the cleaning and front desk staff were very courteous and helpful. It's not a 5 star hotel, but for the money, you can't beat the value. I'll go back to Jormand any day.

“Jormand Hotel is A O.K.”

On a scale from 1 -10, they are about a 7.5 - Rooms are clean and comfortable. Private bath, and it had a kitchen, fridge and washing machine. A/C was nice and cold! Metro station is only a 10 min walk. Breakfast had a nice spread and was only 25 Dhs = $6. Staff was friendly and eager to help. Had to have my room card reset a few times, but no big deal. Plenty of cable channels to watch.

“Well located and good value for money”

I have had a good experience with this hotel and would definitely consider returning. It is well located within a quiet residential area with shopping centres, bars, clubs and bus station nearby within walking distance. The staff tried to be attentive and the rooms were fairly acceptable for the cheapest price that was on offer through the internet. Also, with a kitchen is makes it even more economic. I would recommend this Hotel.
