“very inpressed”

We were only there for 3 nights but we found the hotel very clean and very friendly The staff were very pleasant (including the boss). The room was comfortable and clean. We were also impressed with the bars wide range of beers and lagers. I would definitely recomend the West Cliff Inn to anyone, and when we are back in Bournemouth we will most definitely be staying there.

“Best value hotel on the West Cliff.”

Clean and quite central hotel, which offers a high class experience for little money. This is the second time I've stayed there, and I will go back again. The best value hotel on the West Cliff, for sure.

“Too Cheap!”

I had to be in Bournemouth for a night on business, and I booked a cheap central hotel. I have to say I wasn't expecting much, and was extremely pleasantly surprised by the West Cliff. The place looks like it's had a complete refurb recently: things like granite countertops, and Sony Bravia flat screen TV's in the room were not what I was expecting from a budget hotel. The room was quite small, but had a double bed in it, which was quite new, clean and comfortable; and the bathroom was clean with instant hot water. Under floor heating was yet another unexpected bonus. Tea/coffee in the room too. It's a three minute walk to town, so couldn't be more central and, at the price, it's incredible value. Highly recommended - this is a four star hotel selling itself short in my opinion.

“Economy room”

Good base for a weekend, within walking distance to town,BIC etc plus free parking. Economy room small with a few niggles but not worth complaining about. Overall for what we paid good value, clean and friendly.

“Toiletries not included”

Room clean and decor quite modern. Don't expect toiletries in your room as stated on their website. We only had a bar of soap. Towels are not changed. Good location, near shops and sea front. Free parking but could be difficult to park in Full season

“Nice but...”

Good location on the west side of town within easy walking distance of the beach and town centre.Off-street parking is limited, and may be an issue during peak season. Hotel was well presented, very clean and tidy, and staff were very friendly. Breakfast was the usual mix of cereals, juice and full English cooked to order. Breakfast area doubled as a tapas restaurant in the evening (can't comment as I didn't try it) with a separate lounge/bar area. Free wi-fi was a bonus and worked equally well in both the room and the bar. My room (#29) was small but just about adequate. Bathroom was very small, with barely enough room to turn around in the shower. Biggest problem though was that the bathroom was shared with another room. The hotel and room descriptions on the website make no reference to a shared bathroom - had it done so I would have booked elsewhere, in fact prior to selecting this hotel I had discounted a couple of alternatives for exactly that reason. If you are going to have a shared bathroom then I would at least expect to have a lock on the door! I don't want to have to worry about someone from the next room coming in whilst I'm in the shower. Generally the hotel was much better than I was expecting based on where I had stayed for my last visit to the area, and had it not been for the bedroom/bathroom this would have been a solid 4/5 review, but as the bedroom/bathroom facilities are a significant portion of the hotel experience I have to mark this down to 2/5.
