Perfect for a graduation visit

Posted 15-Jul-2015
Pros: Location. Staff.
We stayed at the hotel when we went to Exeter for our daughter's graduation. The hotel was full of graduate families! The staff coped well and were very helpful with booking taxis up to the university for the morning. Mind you we were there for the very first of a whole week of ceremonies - they will all be exhausted by the end of the week! Very nice hotel. My husband and daughter used the spa facilities and said it was very nice - I stayed in the room to watch the Wimbledon final! One word of advice - if you are booking for a graduation - book as soon as possible. I waited for the dates to come and out and booked as soon as I knew when it would be. Excellent location in the centre of the town, very near the Cathedral.

Pros: Location Fitness facilities
Cons: Parking is quite expensive just for an overnight stay
Location: Explore Exeter Underground tunnels Shopping University visit for parents
Well located for visiting Exeter and university. Seamless check in with cheerful, helpful staff. Pleasantly surprised to be allocated a privilege room with a few, welcome, extra touches. Lovely and quiet. Good pool and gym facilities.

Clean modern hotel

Great bathroom. tasty breakfast. Like most UK hotels the King Bed is 2 single mattresses put together. Why can't they get proper (US style) king-sized mattresses here?

Great location with parking (not all do in Exeter)

Posted 25-May-2015
Pros: Great location and good facilities
Cons: Had everything you need for a short break
Location: Right in centre of Exeter so lots of things to do and see.
Good location, good facilities. We ate in the hotel despite all the options in the local area because it was good value and good quality. Several events going on during our stay but did not feel over-stretched and staff always polite and pleasant (perhaps with exception of the bar area).

Great Hotel

Posted 19-May-2015
Pros: as above
Cons: Would have liked 2 comfortable chairs instead of one plus the dressing tabledressing one, so we could both sit comfortably.
Location: very close to the main shopping centre and lots of sights
If the Forte family are behind the quality of this hotel, we were not surprised to find it such a good hotel. The standard is very high, lovely and clean, just a small wear on the chair in our room, but everything was great, food fresh and lots of choice. We had a privelige room which suited us due to little extras

We were visiting for one night to celebrate my husbands birthday. Staff were very friendly & efficient and whilst we did not eat in the hotel during the evening breakfast was very good.
