“Bad Experience: Green Valley(Nehru Place) - Boutique Hotel”
Myself and a party of 13 other people arrived this evening at this hotel. Upon arrival, the 2 rooms that were to have extra beds (for 2 children) and an extra bed for a third adult were set up in the rooms. We were assured this would be organized by 9:30PM but were made to wait till after 11PM and several requests to resolve the issue. In addition, we received extremely poor service in the restaurant, having to wait 1- 1:30hours to get food or drinks served to us, not to mention the difficulty trying to actually pay the bill. Several other items related to uncleaned rooms and toilets (feces in the bowl, while the toilet had had a sanitized wrapper placed around it) and a broken shower. In addition, no hot water is available after 11PM at night unless you are willing to wait 30+minutes for it to heat up. The manager on the front desk upon our arrival was unpleasant to deal with and essentially ignored our requests. It took the arrival of the night manager to address our concerns in a reasonable manner. Extremely disappointed with the service and would not recommend this establishment.
“Hotel Green Valley”
If you're interested in experiencing a blend of a very good hotel within close proximity of locals, then Hotel Green Valley is a wonderful place to stay. The front desk is only mildly customer service-oriented, but staff in the hotel's mini "restaurant" offsets this aspect and is attentive, friendly and far more service of the nuances of good customer services. My husband and I initially only booked 3 nights at the hotel. We wanted to evaluate whether to actually stay for the full two weeks of our travel to New Delhi. After the first day, we were undecided about extending our stay in this location as it seemed distant from tourist spots. However, once you traveled to a few locations and walk beyond the hotel to the nearby shopping areas, we realized that this location and the Green Valley itself were a perfect central place to reside. The breakfast included in the per night rate and the quiet quaint hotel (some noise due to the typical Delhi traffic - probably no matter where you stay) became a welcomed retreat after a day's excursion. The room decor is nice; the TV channel selections outstanding and the personal refrigerator is great as you're provided 2 bottles of water per day. Hint: freeze your bottled water the previous night and you'll appreciate it as you travel around the city the next day.

Dilli Haat, sited opposite INA market, is yet another fashionable shopping arcade displaying the richness of Indian culture with stalls set up by craftsmen selling a reasonably-priced range of handicrafts and fabrics.
