“Fantastic - Highly recommended”
A very memorable and friendly stay.As the name suggests we were welcomed into a home, to a comfortable relaxed sanctuary. Guest rooms were very spacious and new fixtures and fittings. Host was very experienced at creating a wonderful atmosphere and nothing was too difficult.
“#1 Accommodations in Cusco”
I really can't say enough about my experience at Second Home Cusco. The accommodations were exquisite, the service was so attentive, and the breakfast was delicious! I wish I had more time to enjoy this incredible B&B. Thanks for the first-class treatment!
“Incredible Service and Friendliness”
The only reason I rated this establishment 4 on comfort is because I had to bend down a bit each time I entered the room. However, I think that it would not be possible to change that without impact negatively on the original architecture. The room itself was very comfortable although I would like to see shelves in the cupboard. The staff, especially Victor, were absolutely phenomenal. The welcome blew us away and the eagerness to help and offer information was far above what I have experienced at some really expensive five star hotels on various continents. No one in about 35 years of travel has come close to Second Home Cuzco in terms of friendliness and helpfulness. The location is very goodm situated near a corner of two well-known streets, in a quaint part of Cuzco and within a 10 minute walk (if you walk slowly) of the main square. There are several restaurants nearby, including a really nice Peruvian one about two blocks away. I really liked our room, the location and guesthouse overall but what made it truly amazing for me was the unbelievable friendliness and incredible service. The next time I am in Cuzco, possibly December 2012, I will undoubtedly stay there again.
“Second Home Cusco, Cusco, Peru”
The owner, Carlos, was extremely helpful in recommending how to spend our time in Cusco and what to do during the remainder of our time in Peru. Very friendly place. Breakfasts great. Very near central plaza.
“Exceeded my expectations”
I would definitely recommend this hotel. The room was very clean. The location near to the main downtown was within a short walk. The proprietor was very attentive, friendly and helpful. It really exceeded my expectations.
“Truly a Home away from Home”
Second Home Cusco is an absolutely wonderful B&B. Our family stayed for 4 nights. It is run by Carlos Delfin. Yes, he is the son of Victor Delfin, famous Peruvian sculpture and painter. The B&B is decorated with Victor's beautiful art work. It was a real treat to stay amongst such beautiful artworks. Carlos is available to assist you in so many details from restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing tips to flight details. He held our bags for a few days as we trekked up Machu Picchu. Most of all we enjoyed learning about Cusco, Peru and its culture from Carlos. The rooms are gorgeous and clean. The decor is artistic, elegancy. Free TV and internet service is provided. The breakfasts are our great. Fresh bread is brought in every morning. It is served with eggs cooked for you along with coffee, fresh squeezed juice, yoghurt, cereal, milk, and tea. The B&B is located up a hill about 10-15 min walk from the Plaza de Armas. Otherwise, you may have a taxi drop you off on Carmen Alto and Atocsaycuchi. Carmen Alto. Carlos provides taxi service to and from the airport. Second Home Cusco is truly like a home away from. We can't recommend it enough. We would definitely stay again.
“the best”
Would not consider staying anywhere else in Cusco. Carlos is an excellent host and truly made us feel that this was our "second home." One night our group of 4 decided to have wine, cheese, etc. for dinner since we had a big lunch . We were going to sit in the courtyard and make do with the glasses from our room. Carlos gave us free use of the kitchen. Wonderful breakfast - fresh-squeezed OJ. Could walk to all important sites. Cusco is a wonderful city, and we felt that we were getting the true flavor of the city instead of staying in an "Americanized" hotel. Loved it!!
“Great place to stay in Cusco”
Cusco is a busy city with lots of traffic noise. This small hotel is about 5 minutes to the center by foot but on a quiet street. The owner, Carlos, is a delight and very helpful. The furnishings are very nice and the room we were in was very large. All the surprises here were good ones!!!!!!
“Best place to stay in Cusco if you want to really want to get to know the city.”
The owner, Carlos, is great and very helpful. We loved staying there and will stay there again.
“Cusco's best cozy bed & breakfast place”
This small bed and breakfast place is a great place to stay in Cusco if you are looking for a cozy and friendly place to stay. We choose it based on the reviews from Trip Advisor and it is as good as all the good review described. The owner and staff was friendly and the location was great. The location is within walking distance to all the major attractions. I would definitely stay there again if I'm in Cusco.
